You will have an absolutely wonderful experience continuing this deftones journey. Best band of all time.

7 words is about police injustice to minorities, specifically black people. I'm pretty sure artists have given Chino "the pass" the same as they did for Serj Tankian on the "Shame" track.

Great reaction mate, one of the few bands that get better and better with every album. Definitely make sure you you don’t miss out on around the fur and white pony.

55:29 if you ever find yourself saying “what is that sound” it’s probably Chino screeching with the mic 3 inches down his throat

33:06 Rip Chi Cheng🕊️

you’ll love deftones

Their BEST album. 🥇

Deftones is just THEM many of the metal bands nowadays are super inspired by them. And they just get better with every album just keep listening mate it's a fucking journey lol try around the fur next

40:06  7 words live is INSANE. I’ve seen Deftones a bunch and let me tell you - they are an experience. Awesome reaction. This album released when I was a junior in HS and it holds up. Love it

Yeah the crazy screeching on Nosebleed and Fireal is all the lead singer Chino being a vocal freak lol

What you think is screaming is chino the lead singers vocals

7 Words is a song about racial oppression in Sacramento during the 90s. Chino Moreno nor any of the other are black yes. However in the 90s, other races saying the n word was pretty normalized. Additionally Chino wrote the song when he was 16 and he is Mexican so in his eyes ig he thought it was justified to say this word cause he went through similar struggles as black people regarding racial oppression

The guitar tone on this is so sick and raw. Brings a tear to my eye

Please continue!

You liked this so you definately will love KoRn. Please do a deep dive in their songs!

They only get better

AROUBD THE FUR NEXT ❤❤

I rly like ur vids man keep going

The fact you're experiencing them in the same order of us old heads, is amazing! It takes me back for sure! You created a time machine! Thank you!

Should just go in order, down the line! If you like this album, Around the Fur steps it up, same kinda sound jut refined. White Pony changes the sound up a bit, little more atmospheric but still awesome. Self titled is dark and angry, probably their most under rated. After that the sound switches up and alot i think has to do with bassist passing away after saturday night wrist, but they were disconnected during that album and had a few producers on it so its kinda all over the map. Alot of people will say newer stuff is best, ive been a fan since i was 15 back in '97, so the first 4 albums are peak for me.
