Departing the Body 10/10. One of their best songs

Ecdysis is the track that really hooked me on this album, Ecdysis, Infinite Source and Souvenir are one hell of a ride!

3:30 My mind is a mountain
10:48 locked Club
15:35 ecdysis
22:06 infinite source
28:39 souvenir
36:51 cXz
40:46 I think about you all the time
47:46 Milk of the Madonna
53:46 cut hands
59:18 ~Metal dream
1:04:38 departing the body

I think about you all the time is goated

Listen to Cut Hands again.  I dont think you gave that song a fair rating.  At the very least an 8/10.  But thats a 10/10 for me.

Your two favorites are mine as well. I hope it's not their last album, but a perfect sendoff if so!

is this the end? absolutely not, Deftones will have another album, and they have been a band since 1989. I really like Adrenaline a lot more these days, it has grown on me over the years.

Pantera Far beyond Driven next

LETS GOO PRIVATE MUSIIIC, react to crosses next its another project by chino himself that goes into a more electronic sound

Might as well complete their whole discography by listening to their unreleased album Eros that leaked back in June, amazing album despite not being completely mixed/mastered

Great album and a great reaction

Opeth should be on your list

Gonna do a wrap up video talking about your favorites songs and albums etc?

Now you need to dive into Chino's side projects... Palms, Team Sleep, and Crosses. all amazing.

You gotta get onto chevelle man start with Wonder what's next by Chevelle

Already with "Ohms" I had the feeling that the band was starting to say goodbye. Maybe it was because it was released during COVID, but "Ohms" also takes more looks back lyrically and mucsically. It had a lot of elements Deftones perfected over the years (like a best-of album, sort of.) Not an acutal goodbye, but a little bit like the last song of the offical set list before the encore. If that's the case, then "private music" would be the encore, but as you know, bands can prolong this almost infinitely. Or say goodbye and come back after a few years.😂 Anyway, it's not unrealistic to think that the band is in a phase of settling things before it's finally over. E.g. they seem to have recently sold a majority stake in their music catalog and publishing rights to Warner Music Group. Industry reports estimate the transaction was worth between $41 million and $75 million. So, I guess, this is what you do when you "cash out" and plan to retire soon.
