She doesn’t want to see trans people, she probably should take off her glasses.

I love seeing older trans people. It gives so much hope.

I was arguing with an old coworker about the bathroom issue. I told him that there are no cases of trans woman attacking cis woman in Womans spaces. he said there actually was.
so I asked him to show me. he then spent five minutes searching the internet before finally finding one article about this happening. it had happened years ago and was not even a case that happened in the country we live in.
also, this was not a sexual attack.

Im not religious per se but a quote that will always stick with me is
"God made trans people for the same reasons he made grapes but not wine, wheat but not bread, so that we too can experience the joy of creation"
Such a beautiful thought for a loving god

I remember people suggeting that one reason why bigots believe that trans people (or gay, or socialist, or whatever) want to indoctrinate children into becoming trans/etc. is simply because it's how bigots raise their children : they indoctrinate them into being good little people hating, god-fearing robots.
It also exlpain why they are so afraid of those topics even being shown anywhere, because they isolate their children from everything so the second those kids meet someone different, they naturally get curious, which for the bigot parents immediately become "his pure mind was poisonned".

These people fighting against transphobia... it fills me with determination.

As a slightly non gender conforming cis woman (in that I'm tall and have short hair) I would just like to affirm an uptick in troubling behavior towards me. Had a man get up in my face to smuggly call me sir the other day while ushering at a theater. So, affirming that this odd anti Trans mentality is not helping cis women.

On the whole subject of ’protecting ciswomen from transwomen’: as a ciswoman, I wish the transphobes would stop using me as an excuse for their hatred and persecution of my sisters.

I will give a minor correction about drilling holes into people's skulls. While the ancient belief was that they were possessed by demons, some people were ill due to high intercranial pressure. Drilling relieved some of that pressure, making their symptoms disappear and they were "cured". Craniectomies are still done to this day (although in a far more scientific and safer manner), I've had many patients who have had the procedure done.

10:56 This mindset feels very much like the classic "I don't want them hanging around a black man because I don't want them dating one"

The regret rate around breast augmentations is about 10-15% depending on what study you look at. Yet, cis women can get this gender affirming care with no issues while trans women have to jump through hoop after hoop to get it. It's just about abusing people who you view as less than you. We are a moral failing to them, like the homeless population, so they try to deny us our rights and our lives, like the homeless population. It just sucks because there is very little we can do to ultimately right the ship.

Re HP books: there's an artist here in the states who uses donated HP books to create artistic portraits of trans people who are no longer with us. This artist has received copies from around the globe, and his portraits are beautiful. I don't recall if he auctions the art or what, but I love that we can upcycle unwanted volumes for something that actively counters the harm she-who-shall-not-be-named has helped perpetuate

I was reminded the other day that small town New Zealand elected an openly trans woman as mayor first then later as an MP in the 1990s. I say reminded because there was a recent article about her. She died in 2023 and retired from parliament in 2005. When I think about all this great stuff that happened 30+ years ago, I realise how many steps back we've been taking in recent years. I was born in 1969. I just want people to be safe and able to go about their lives with autonomy and within the bounds of a sensible law.

Sometimes it gets tiring to hear "so you want trans men to go into the women's bathroom ? Gotcha!" Because no, they want trans people to DIE. That's literally the point of all the transphobic rhetoric, it's about removing trans people from all aspects of society

"But think of womens sports, we can't have-"
Lets start at equal pay between male and female athletes :)

"I need them to drive". You don't need to drive though.

Jammii i doibt you carr but i am happy and want share, my bf called me his bf yesterday, for the first time! I started dating him before i started socially transitioning and he has been hesitant about it for awhile! But he called me HIS BOUFREIND AND AM I SUPER HAPPYYY(I'm a transmasc) and that made my day! Have a good day!

Hey I'm in the video 😁 ... technically. I was one of the people carrying the large quilts during the largest Trans Pride March in the World. You can see me in the video that Jamie shows at 6:50. The atmosphere was great. Employees in the surrounding buildings were literally waving and forming love hearts with their hands. Some even put supportive messages in the window. There were only two transphobes visible to us on the match who were drowned out by all the love and support we got. We were at the very back so most of the people were ahead which is why there doesn't look like a lot of people in that video. Trust me there were sooooo many more people than what the video shows

5:12 he's a teacher engaged to a trans woman and has a wonderful little boy. He is a great creator to watch. He's bring his son up right and his students right.
