Look Outside - Cursed Solo Genocide (Sam Only) Run

Cheese Man Gaming

This is an updated version of my Solo Genocide Run I completed on the release of the game. Back then, the highest difficulty in the game was Normal and there was a fraction of the content Look Outside has now.

This is a very long video so here's some chapters if you want to jump around a bit. If you've seen some of my challenge runs before, the set up phase of the video will be familiar.

Chapters:
00:00 Intro
02:36 Game Plan (Run Strats)
04:30 Early Game Prep
16:40 Mid Game Prep
33:00 Late Game Prep
34:15 Boss Rush
1:07:40 Ending Route - Comatus
1:14:12 Ending Route - Honko
1:19:40 Ending Route - Unity
1:30:30 Ending Route - Mask
1:53:00 Ending Route - Final True Ending
2:12:20 Wrap up

I’m legitimately wondering how horrible the mirror dialogue is after you to the worst possible options

Genocide Sam going for the strongest version of every boss ends up accidentally befriending Summer and Pierre. He's like their Leigh, only he beat them up instead

I love how in the "True" Final ending, after Sam defeating all the cursed in the building he thinks he is the SHIT now and thinks he can just go up to literal God being and "Meteor Strike" it to death.

"unemployed man goes on rampart murder spree against lovecraftian horror monsters" is so peak

Sans wants to know your location.

considering what the notes that trigger the unity ending say, Sam becoming so deluded he gains the power to kill the Visitor makes a sort of sense

This video was the first time I witnessed the Sybil ending, and I imagine Sam's eyes slowly widening as he reads her notes. And on the page where it's like: "If anyone else, anyone still somewhat human came to realize this, I believe our entire world would cease to be within a few minutes." he just goes like "I just fucked up bad didn't I"

Either way he'd have to be a lunatic to attack her anyway so I think that wouldn't even be on her mind

The multiple timelines aspect of the video is pretty lore accurate considering that theoretically the game takes place over multiple timelines.

1:44:31 the reason Mask is there is because, as seen in the achievement and in game text for a fully failed ritual, Sam turns into a living fractal shortly thereafter, very definitely causing him and all around, which will eventually be everything, unending pain, and chaos. That’s why the mask shows up. To complete the loop between them, and simultaneously save and curse himself.

How can you have so much knowledge of the game but consistently mix up floor one with floor two throughout the video

I gotta stop thinking I know stuff.
Not often, but sometimes I'll be like "What's this guy doing? Wouldn't it be easier to use that move?"
Then you're like "Now, I know what you're thinking. 'Wouldn't it be easier to use that move?' But no, this boss is immune to that move."

I like to think that Sam was so lonely and on the verge of snapping right before the Visitor that when it happened, he just lost it

54:00 I did find him organically, because I was wandering around kinda tired and not paying attention, I hadn’t read anything about him so I was really surprised. Wasn’t too hard to kill though
