water companies should be sued for the dividends they paid out instead of paying to keep their infrastructure together... And if they refuse their bosses should be jailed for fraud!

I would rather have a PM who makes mistakes, than someone who sits on the fence and does nothing!.

At last a PM with some passion.

Say what you want, he's making big decisions on matters which others have looked the other way on for political reasons.

You've got to respect that regardless of your opinions on the policies.

as a 'child' of thatcher, from the care system then turfed onto the streets; I've been screaming into the void since then about the very problems andy talked about, that needed to be said out loud, and he did. it felt cathartic, so im very pleased and i am feeling some hope.

This is the most beautiful speech given by a PM this century.

Spot on. Ive said this for years. Agree or disagree, Thatcher had her ways and stuck to them stead fast and got her way and this is the first time since, imo someone has looked like doinf the same. Im a Labour man, i hated Thatcher and ive detested the previous years under tory goverments and i v much like Burnham. Praying he delivers HIS way to make this country better. No fence sitting. Go for it

A brilliant speech definitely makes me feel more hopeful and excited about what this Labour Government will deliver for Britain.

Bravo Andy your dad would be proud of that speech. 👏👏👏👏

His big problem is lack of parents for next years conference  - he’ll need his mom to take one for the team.

This is the leader this county needs—proper help for the average person—a reshaping of society. Love it!

He gets my vote. About fecking time we changed course.

Media wants everyone at each other's throats

Dang!  He makes me wish i lived in the UK!  Tho i am lucky to be in Spain, with the great Pedro Sanchez now.

I changed over to the greens because Labour went against its manifesto… I’m tempted to support Labour again now, with this speech. I’ll take action when Burnham takes action. Make Britain great again! Not just for the wealthy… but for the people who actually keep this country running ❤

This is full fat Labour.  The one people wanted for change.  Not fence sitting.  Electoral Reform, National Care Service, Comprehensive Education and much more

I was so pleased with this plan. As a pensioner I agree the triple lock is not sustainable and we need a Social Care system. As an ex-social worker, this has been a problem since the 70's and not addressed

Finally a PM with some spine.

The best bit is that it looks like Burnham won't call a general election until 2029, which means Farage has another three years pretending to care about Clacton. Unless of course, he disappears along with the £72m.

The damage we are faced with goes all the way back to Thatcher and her sycophants.  She hated working class people with  a passion and her "chums"  made themselves rich on the back of us. Water. Railways.  Telecommunications.  We were robbed blind, but now we want OUR MONEY  back to fund social care, so we're not faced with having to sell our homes if we get a serious illness. I agree with him.  Take the money from those who robbed us. If they want to live somewhere else. Wave them goodbye
