It's just crazy to me that Yahoo could've bought Google in 1999 for a million dollars and again a couple years later for a 3 billion dollars, and they rejected it, and now Google's worth 3 trillion dollars.

The internet used to be so fun. I miss the days of searching random shit like "types of elephants" or "watership down" and getting only 27 results that were all amateur websites made by dedicated nerds.

You know you gotta do Yahoo! Answers next. That place was a goldmine for human...error.

Ironically, people went to Google because of how simple and clean Google was. Same with people going from Myspace to Facebook, for the same reason, because it was simple and clean. My how those two have changed.

I miss the Yahoo chat rooms, they were a lot of fun. Although I (like many kids) really should not have been on there with the amount of old men requesting access to my webcam 😭

I still use the yahoo email address I created in the 90s that had unlimited data storage that I use as my primary email. I have 26+ years of photos and videos and other attachments that I have emailed myself as a poor man’s backup because even after they started giving storage limits, the oldest accts got grandfathered over with no limit and they have never capped me.
