Season 2 of "Shiny Happy People" is out now! Please welcome my special guest Tia Levings, who was featured in Season 1, as we discuss the world of Christian fundamentalism and her escape from an abusive cult.

"Christian Nationalism" is an oxymoron that has long shocked me as Christ's message was internationalist. The foreign Samaritan was the "good neighbor" in that parable after all.

Thank you, Tia for sharing your story and offering enlightenment and education to others.

Thank you both so much for this conversation.  It brings some clarity to my understanding of some christian men who are such avid tr*mp followers.  I now see the doctrine they are under the spell of.  Your voices are so important !

I listened to every second of this. The sheer humility and authenticity of you both is healing hope for me and I'm sure for many. O heavenly father please listen to the words and support the works of Amy and Tia. Please bring us from darkness to your light 🙏 ❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for introducing me to Tia!  Amazing woman & a "light" for other entrapped women.  I've only been a Christian for 13 years & spent a good 40 years chasing "the world". I am grateful now that 12 step meetings were my church.  This interview really clarified the connection between evangelicals & that vile man in the White House.....sadly, Jesus is only a vehicle for power, a mere means to an end. I pray that this chaos will be a means to cleansing & restoring the church.  A kind of reformation for the church in America.  Thanks for again, knocking it outta the park, Amy.

Really good interview! The book "A Well Trained Wife" was a really important read for me. I actually read the entire book flying home from vacation last year. She definitely has a way with words. So articulate and insightful. Thanks, Amy, for facilitating this conversation!

Lord I will seek you first

I visited 2 friends  this spring who were attending the same church but different towns in ID- same patriarchal views.  Women not allowed in any teaching or positions of authority. And they had the 'guardians' who open carried in order to protect the church and it's members.   What a violent headspace to live in.

Thank you for this interview, Amy. I heard Tia speak awhile ago and am glad to be reminded to read her current book. Looking forward to her next book on healing. I'm on a journey of my own.

Thank you both.  Lead with humanity.  Give people a soft place to land.  We will get through this time together.

God bless you both.

Amy and Tia.  Tia is absolutely right!  I have been studying and reading through the Bible every year for the last 35 years.  The Bible in no way shape or form teaches a double standard at all and lifts up women and womanhood.  This is very true and I am seeing the awful rotten fruit of many years of "dominance theology" in this nation even from some of the more moderate churches.  Please continue to have these discussions.  They are very important.  My daughter, right now is in very bad shape.  Her husband just graduated from Mac Arthurs' seminary and she has never been the same person since they entered and it grieves my and my wife's souls so much.  She has 3 children and the situation is not good.  I just wish, as a Bible teacher, I would have recognized this a long time ago.  Maybe I could have warded off a lot of problems in my own family's life.

This is sooooo good …thank you ladies …

Hannah is my favorite person in all of scripture. She overcame the vexation of her adversary and obtained her desire and gave us Samuel. Who anointed David. Who established the kingdom over which Yeshua will rule and reign for all eternity.  She is totally awesome!!

2 women that I think the world of!

Bravo Amy and Tia! And brave on ya! 👏👏Count your followers. Now multiply them to include all of those touched by your words today who felt it too “risky” to publicly “like,” or follow you. Your  true numbers of followers will be revealed by the sparks you have generated that that will ignite examination & bring hope & change. ❤ Thank you!

Thank you both for this video.  It’s eye opening.  Praying for you all and your YouTube channel.  God bless you all.  Love you Amy!!❤️🙏✝️

I enjoyed this so much thank you ladies women can change the world that’s why they want us down I have both your books ladies ❤reading now!

If Mary Magdalena had been silent when Yeshua told her, Go tell Peter and the disciples. It might have turned out differently.
