The guy recording the fight on the Bus, is same guy who told Spider-Man to do a flip in HomeComing.

Personally one of my favourites in the mcu

I’ve been waiting for this!! Such an underrated MCU film!

The guy fighting Wong was the antagonist from The Incredible Hulk (2008). Emil Blonsky, the Abomination.

When the guy at the fight club says he speaks ABC, that stands for American Born Chinese. Technically that's the same as English, but that's where the abbreviation comes from.

i just opened the app what a beautiful gift

What makes Wenwu such a compelling character is how his story could so easily be that of a protagonist. Think how much of it parallels John Wick's story, and others like it:
* A "bad" man who tries to leave his old life behind after meeting the right woman.
* Something from his old life is responsible for killing his wife (or something symbolic of his wife, ie the dog).
* Goes on a path of revenge to hunt those responsible.

Whether "hero" or "villain", his story is tragic.

The martial arts technique used by the people of Ta Lo, especially by Ying Li, is Tai Chi. Waterbending from Avatar borrowed this. Tai Chi is all about using the opponent’s strength against them, so no matter how strong the opponent is, you can still defeat them.

When I first watched this, going into it, I thought it looked cool but absolutely loved it and it exceeded my expectations. I actually think this is one of my favorite movies in the MCU to be honest.

Ying Li gave up her power to be with him. He gave up the 10 rings as well. So, they basically didn’t have guardsmen. So when his enemies caught up with him, she wasn’t strong enough to protect them.

In the bus scene the part where he fights with his jacket was a direct homage to Jackie Chan's first American movie, Rumble in the Bronx (1995). The second scene you called correctly, Bamboo Scaffolding scene in Rush Hour 2 (2001). The Jackie Chan Stunt Team was hired for this movie's stunts. The movie was written to be a homage to classic Chinese Martial Arts Cinema.

Why am I still not used to Nick's haircut 😂

Please don’t skip Wandavision it’s one of the best Marvel shows!

Honestly one of my favourite marvel movies. Immaculate vibes. And Tony Leung <3

Apparently in the late 1980s, Stan Lee had considered a movie / TV series about Shang-Chi and had Brandon Lee in mind (Bruce Lee's son), for the role. Shang-Chi is visually based on Bruce Lee so Brandon seemed a fitting choice, but the plan didn't happen!
I thought Simu Liu did an amazing job as Shang Chi in this movie! 😊

Fan theory time: Because his mom gave up her power when she left, it can be taken that her power is exclusive to Ta-lo. We also see Shang-chi activate his air-bending after taking in the dragon's breath. In similar themed stories, dragons and their dens are often rich in mana/chi/energy. In martial arts stories, breathing techniques and cultivating a mana heart or something similar is how they tap into their supernatural powers. One thing to also note is the color of the 10 Rings change when used by a mana user, and seemingly have activated in some way according to Wong. So in essence, as long as Shang-chi has a way to maintain his mana supply, he should be able to continue using air-bending, which might be possible due to his orange-powered 10 rings.

Are you guys gonna watch Wandavision, Loki, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier?

25:25 It's common for Asian-American people to have two names, an Eastern one and a Western one. Katie's Chinese name is Ruiwen, and she likely only uses that with family.

My favorite MCU movie of the 2020s
