I don't understand Carnage separating from Cletus in ANY context, their whole thing is being literally fused. Like they don't even do the whole "we" thing, Carnage says "I," they are ONE being.

Carnage as drawn in the 90s/early 2000s had the best visual design. There's just something so cool about the goopy nature of the black mixing with the red. Carnage in all red looks just wrong.

Doom got Carnage and Goblin, just to piss Spider-Man off.

Carnage used to be Maximum.

0:44 carnage is a lot more well known than man bat

9:55 Yes! That is the point of the story! You can only tame Carange by cheating. Its such a good way to emphasize that Carnage cannot be controlled

[Insert Marvel character] used to be cool may as well be Marvel's motto at this point.

20:37 confirms even at his Lois, Cletus is a family guy.

Carnage becoming Papyrus in Absolute Carnage can make me forgive everything else

Carnage and the Joker are both in a place where for some reason writers have decided that all of their stories nowadays need to be big, over-the-top events, when really they're at their best when acting on a smaller, more personal scale with actual clever or interesting little murder plots.

"I actually give a shit about more than two hosts Venom has had."
>Shows three

Well, it's not untrue.

"Gregory,Let There Be Carnage"
The Fact Carnage officially has the same voice actor as Multiple Freddy Fazbears is Funny Af

I'm glad someone else agrees that modern Carnage's designs suck because they often go for just "Red Venom." Especially with the teeth. I will always prefer the black teeth that makes him look like a carved jack o' lantern's face than the typical sharp white teeth every other Venom-esque symbiote gets.

I knew Eddie Brock was the Carnage now, but never consider Kletus and Carnage not being the same anymore... Which feels wrong

If you ask me, ArcSys gave us one of the best versions of Carnage both design-wise and gameplay-wise. All of his attacks and animations emphasize the violent and inhuman nature of Carnage. Also him getting a variant of the classic MvC Venom super is a nice touch.

We had Maximum Carnage and then they've spent over three decades fumbling almost non-stop.

34:00 this is the first time that “youtuber says random name as a joke” has been my name and i’m honored, genuinely caught me off guard 😭

I think the best Carnage adaptation so far is the one in The Amazing Spider-Man 2's video game.
- He's Cletus Kasady, they flat-out state he's a serial killer, and they don't pull the symbiote without a host cop-out
- His presence is felt throughout the game; Peter's haunted by his murders, his turn into Carnage transforms Ravencroft, and Cletus tries to spread his nihilistic philosophy to Spider-Man
- He's humanized in his desire to have a family, but without whitewashing his monstrous side as he tries to achieve this by spreading the symbiote
I hope whatever Insomniac has in store for him is just as great.
