Rosalía produced 90% of the album herself!!! She’s a crazy producer, she studied music in college and her degree was “El Mal Querer” that album won like 10 Latin Grammys + 1 regular Grammy back in 2019, it’s also considered the best Spanish speaking album ever made 😭😭

Motomami is a 180° concept and sound from Lux! So be prepared to listen diversity in her discography! El Mal Querer is an amazing album!

A masterpiece that will remain in musical history. AOTY

As a Portuguese, I'm so proud that the whole world is listening to Carminho's voice.

If she doesn't win the AOTY I'll go insane...

Omg you should react to MOTOMAMI (the deluxe edition plz) ❤️

ÁLBUM OF THE DECADE

This is a spiritual album where she explore the lives of different female Saints from differents religions and cultures! That's why she sang in so differents languages, to portrait their lives and also her!
And Rosalía study music, her final thesis was her second album "El Mal Querer" where she merges flamenco with Urban music! Another concept álbum with amazing MVs!!! Hope you can enjoy it too!!!

La yugular es la cancion mas hermosa hecha en los ultimos años. ya era hora de salir de todos los lanzamientos de pop sonando iguales, GRACIAS Rosi

As a Spaniard, I'm truly proud of how far Rosalía has come with her music. I think this album is pure musical genius and lyrical genius, speaking in 14 languages. And her voice is prodigious. If you continue listening to more Rosalía, my personal favorite album is her second one. But honestly, I really liked your reaction and your interpretations of the songs. P.S.: If you'll accept another recommendation for Spanish artists music, Aitana is someone who's also been making a name internationally lately, and her latest album, Cuarto Azul, is a GREAT album (much more pop than Rosalía, though), I think you might really vibe to it ❤️

Hey James just wanted to point out, that while the album is very theology based… is not a relegious album, she based her stories on some female saints stories

My thoughts are similar to yours I grew up Catholic and a lot of people in my church didn’t even try to be Christlike. Spent most of their time being racist, xenophobic, homophobic, and very judgmental overall so at a certain point I just stopped going and decided to focus on how we treat each other and improving the life of others here on Earth because, like you say, I think this life is heaven.
All that said: even though I’m not religious I loved many songs on this album: Memoria, Reliquia, Magnolias: all reminded me of thoughts and experiences I’ve had and I love music that makes me reflect on life and the human experience plus her voice is beautiful.

Juke!! Another banger, I absolutely adore and appreciate ur diversity in music reviews, you literally do everything, thank you man!

I always find myself crying at the last 2 songs. T_T

Man you should definitely listen to MOTOMAMI 🙏🏼😭

This is literally the album of the decade. Truly a masterpiece.
