I like cryptids in the same way I like unicorns. I know they aren't real, but damn do I love some of their designs.

my friend once misremembered them as "fresno streetwalkers" which is something else entirely

"Is the term 'eyewitness testimony' synonymous with 'bullshit'? Ancient astronaut theorists say yes."

I really miss the phrase "You know what really gets my goat?" because as a kid I started replying "The chupacabra?" and it always got a laugh.

I’m sorry, but I think it would be effing awesome if aliens turned out to look like a pair of pants. Forget the scary, apocalyptic aliens who want our resources and will annihilate Earth. Nope. They’re just a pair of pants.

"How exactly do you propose that they built their spaceship then? They don't even have fucking arms!" 😂😂😂😂😂

@DeidresStuff 1 month ago

I always forget what the nightcrawlers are called and refer to them as The Fresno Pants Guys. 😂

Fresno nightcrawlers? It's the adorable haunted pants! I love the ridiculous things!

I love the idea that Geoff only talked to the house owners, then the new guy moved in and Geoff popped out like "hello! I'm Geoff the Talki-" BLAM.

The Nightcrawlers aren’t even crawling! But also, the center of gravity is off, which is another reason they look like they’re floating. I agree, puppets.

Now, I am Puerto Rican. I am 49, and I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I can tell you that while the stories may have been around from very early on, they didn't really take off a lot until the 90's when a local newspaper named "El Vocero" known for its sort of yellow-tabloid like stories, would publish stories every Wednesday or Thursday, related to aliens, and other various cryptids that they would claim were from locals. Of course, they'd have depictions and whatever other nonsense they could get a hold of to make the story seem more believable. Really, all the more educated people knew it was B.S. to sell papers... but as you know, people love a good folkloric story. The name "Chupacabras" came from a local comedian/tv personality named Silverio Pérez who jokingly called it the "goat sucker" to mock the story, and the outlandish claims... and Puerto Ricans, being the jovial people we are, adopted the name. lol Man, I wish I still had old copies of that newspaper laying around. They sure published a lot of whoppers! Especially things like alien abductions, supposed secret area-51-like bases in El Yunke (our rain forest) that are filled with aliens, and that El Chupacabras is some kind of CIA escaped animal/alien experiment gone wrong or something. lol I even remember one story where an old man claimed he almost caught the alien, but it was slimy and got away! Darn, almost! lmao

Didn't know how much I needed a video where a sailor curses different Cryptids for an hour.

@Madhouse_Media 1 month ago

As a skeptic, I have to admit that cryptid lore is a guilty pleasure.

@theheartlessknight2426 1 month ago

So... The "Nightcrawler" is about the same size as a marionette and walks like a puppet...

Genuinely, I'm so glad this channel exists. I get so tired of videos that "explain" famous photos, urban legends, etc. only to summarize what the photo / story / thing is and go "dunno," as to its explanation. It's especially frustrating when something gets the "dunno" treatment and you KNOW the answer - they didn't bother looking it up. To steal a phrase from Milo Rossi, we need more Googledebunkers in 2026.
