Even if you stress it's a PoC, completing it down to your very last bit of health with no lifes or continues is strangely satisfying. Hitting one second on the timer earlier was the cherry on cake.

Proof Of Concept is why I watch these kinds of videos anyways honestly.

I don't think the rewind function disqualifies this as an accomplishment. I won't say it's anything more than a proof of concept, but you still pulled it off and that is extremely impressive, especially to me, someone who has never beaten Streets of Rage 2. I may go back to this game myself now.

every time you pick something up I can hear the little "oohWHOOP" sfx in my head

Thank you for doing this :)

Funnily enough I recently started playing SoR2 for the first time and I had a blast. I only played Blaze and never saw the movesets of the other fighters but Axel looks really fun to play.

Great video as always btw! But I have to go because I need to play as Axel right now!

Great video man, and nice to see Streets of Rage 2 finally make it to the channel

These Challenge Runs are the thing. Fantastic Content. Would love to see one for Streets of Rage 4.

Kinda funny to see that its jetpack enemy and the 2 bosses that are annoying even in a regular run that ended up being the biggest threats to the challenge

Didn't expect this to be possible, pretty impressive.  Now do it on SoR3 pls

Wooo beat-em-up challenge run!

As a Streets of Rage 1 player, when you said "special attack", I thought "police car with rocket launcher".

This game went hard on a weekend with your cousins back in the day

I completely forgot there’s a time limit until you mentioned it towards the end, it’s something I never had to worry about with all the decades playing this game ! 😂

i'm so bad at these kinds of games i barely get to the 3rd stage, it was a fun challenge to watch. that life draining attacks would have been the end of me :text-green-game-over:

here is your deserved like good sir!

This is hella impressive!!

This is such pure nostalgia. My household was a Sega house growing up, and I adored the Streets of Rage series. I also preferred 2 over 1 or 3. It felt more fleshed out than 1, and there was something about 3 that just didn't make it hit the same way.

That was extremely enjoyable to watch. I've never considered this before, and I'm surprised it was possible without you needing to activate the extra menu to start with 9 lives!
