The line '"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then " hits me more and more now the older I get

The older you get, the more you appreciate Bob Seger.

you know what Bob's best song is?  thee next one you hear

The old man, reflecting on the years when he was young and strong. I can relate at age 69. It seems like yesterday that I was in my 20s, and now I can hardly walk or do much from working construction all of my life. I love this song.
Thanks Polo

One of the best storytellers ever recorded.  Stories of youth and truth

Main Street is another banger!

I'm a woman of the 70's, and I love this song. Seger's voice is so soothing and cool. Great story teller, and great musicians.

"Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then". One of the simplest but most profound lines in music.

With Bob Seger what often strikes me about his vocal style and song writing is he leaves so much space for contemplation between every word.  He's never rushing through to say something with 100 words.  He says 5 words and let's every lyric sink in.

Not many songs hit me as a man as hard as this.  I am a recovering alcoholic and have been sober for 30+ years.  This song reminds me that you are not alone in your struggles in life, look around we are all against the wind, just at different stages of the storm.  A great track that gets me reflecting as I am older on many things in my life.  I always come away feeling great as the wind does pass, I survived and thrived and I can be their to help others through the storms that I have weathered.  Thanks Polo for sharing.

Bob Seger, LIKE A ROCK

Bob Seger----Turn The Page

This song always reminds me that although our struggles may be different, they can still be remarkably similar. We can all relate to this song because we have all struggled in one way or another. The human condition connects us all.

Polo, we love your transparency!
Keep being you.

Bob will never let you down.  Hit after hit, story after story, always hits hard!

Love your reaction, Polo!  How about Bob's STILL THE SAME.

After fifty years of Bob Seger, I can say with confidence that his music STILL hasn’t gotten old.

In fact, I’m still finding new appreciation for songs of his that I’ve known for years, and I’m still discovering songs of his that I had never heard before.

This song is so relatable to so many of us.
 I'm 67 and I'm "Still running against the wind!!"😢

PLEASE POLO, listen to LIKE A ROCK and ROLL ME AWAY and WE'VE GOT TONIGHT and STILL THE SAME....OMG, just so many great and meaningful songs Bob gave us.

We're all still running against the wind, every day, every one of us.
