This song was written by corey Taylor and Paul gray (bass player of slipknot) about an ex girlfriend,  but after Paul's death due to drug overdose it took on a deeper meaning,  this performance shows the deeper meaning to the song

you captured his lyricism....pure poetry. He has solo career as well as 2 bands. The song "Bother" is a tragic, genius masterpiece.

Corey Taylor himself said it’s a song about someone who helped you to go through a lot and suddenly they let you down. Someone that you were relying on but they were not feeling the same. The pain could push you to the edge, but if you survive, you reach new horizons and you grow. Snuff is about an unhealthy toxic relationship that you are aware of, yet you cannot move on, you don’t let go. It’s about how different contradictory emotions pass by in a manic depression way. A minute you are angry, the other you are sad. You love and hate at the same time.
Its also the last single released by Slipknot before bassist Paul Gray passed away. Corey plays it acoustic as a tribute to Paul often.
Definitely watch the video. Corey is so amazing in all his music.

That line.... "I only wish you weren't my friend, then I could hurt you in the end..."

So true and so painful.

At thia show someone yelled out you saved me .. corey stopped had them turn the lights up and told everyone that it was not him saving them but his fans saving his life.   He told them how much he loved all of them

"if you still care don't ever let me know" is so raw... i felt that deep

He is also frontman of Stone Sour!  "Bother" is my favorite!

Poor guys trying not to cry while singing this💀😭 rip paul🖤💕

Corey fronts Stone Sour as well- whole diff vibe from fabulous Slipknot, also beautiful.  You chose the right one, this live acoustic is the BEST!

11:18 With the poetry aspect, there is something about "so break yourself against my stones, and spit your pity in my soul".  I admire that kind of poetry in lyrics so much.

I prefer this because you can hear his real voice and rawness compared to the video that’s been mixed mastered etc. I’m super fucken happy you chose this one. Then watch the video.

Corey is unbelievably talented. He is the lead singer of Slipknot, also the lead singer of Stone Sour, which was his 90’s/00’s band, had some great tunes. CMFT is another of his bands, it’s ok.
Check out “Through Glass” and “Bother” from Stone Sour.

Also, he has some of his small concerts on YouTube, they were great.

"If you still care don't ever let me know" always gets me!

The first time I saw this version, it almost broke me. I always understood the lyrics but I didnt realize how heavy they were until watching him sing this song damn near in tears. Still one of my favorite performances from him. He is my favorite rock artist. Yeah. Check out the music video. I prefer the acoustic personally, but I love both versions.

Songs an absolute masterpiece and when Corey decides to go acoustic wit it, unreal good

Corey Taylor is a Beast!!

This whole concert is awesome. Corey back and forth with The crowd. Interacting and even insulting each other and laughing. Bother from this show is crazy good with the crowd singing backup. It had to be validation and rewarding for Corey with the crowd showing their love for his music.

Voice is amazing but the sound of the Acoustic Guitar is Haunting… Corey is amazingly talented

Yep you picked the right one.  So much emotion!!!!

Live performance is always the right choice
