Heartbreak can be devastating, and gritty. And downright gorgeous, when sung about by Slipknot's lead singer, Corey Taylor.

Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Corey Taylor for the first time, performing an acoustic version of "Snuff".

Get you a girl that looks at you the way she looks at Corey Taylor.

Back in the early days of Slipknot, nobody would ever think this guy could pick up an acoustic guitar and just sing his heart out. The man has an amazing voice looking past the screaming.

It's said that the majority of Corey's vital organs are located inside his neck

“It took the death of hope to let you go.” That line is devastating.

I’ve never seen a woman fall in love in real time before.

He looks up, because he's thinking of his friend and slipknot colleague Paul Grey, that passed away.

This song is one he wrote with the help of his best friend Paul Gray. Evidently it became Paul Grays favorite song, sadly Paul passed away. So now at every live show, Corey plays this song as a tribute to Paul. The emotion you hear in his voice and can see in his expression when getting to certain lines are genuine, it’s hard for him to sing this song, which is why the audience helps him by singing it with him. Truly bittersweet.

And remember when you watch this: The same guy and the same crowd sang the Spongebob Theme song on the same evening.

Corey's a beast, a master, a genius .

I love how she is just melting from his voice alone.

There is more talent in Corey's neck than the entirety of a lot of other bands

@TeufelHunden927 5 years ago

And just like that, Corey made another woman love him😂

Most people don't realize the poetry in a lot of heavy music. And also how vocally talented they are. They don't just scream and make animal noises.

He wrote this song with Gray, but it was dedicated to an ex girlfriend who left him in a difficult time. His sorrow while singing is caused by the loss of the friend that helped him to exorcize his inner demons. Most of us probably can relate to it

@vaettra1589 5 years ago

"If you still care don't ever let me know" - that line right there...

@locketom 4 years ago

This song is incredibly hard for Corey to sing, whenever it sounds like he's about to cry, its because he is. The song has taken on new meaning for Corey since he wrote it. RIP Paul Gray.
