I don't think you can beat Baxters Soup. My local Morrisons store has been selling it at £1 a tin over most of the winter months which is the perfect time to stock up on it. Also, unlike Heinz ring-pull cans, Baxters cans interlock and can be stacked safely in the food cupboard. Which is a major bonus in my opinion!

A ’souper’ comparison video Gareth, thank you. Have a great weekend everyone! 😊

Baxters, for me to, love your pans ,❤

Baxters are the only tinned soups i buy. If you want warming up on a cold day Royal Game is the one!

Gareth - maybe a Lidl and Aldi comparison - always wondered if one is better than the other from a selection of staples.  Great vids mate.

I like the fresh pot of Pea and Ham Soup sold in Lidl, it's really nice.

Heinz just ripping everyone off with their name. Most supermarket soups at 60p are as good if not better!

Baxters Scotch broth can't be beaten.

Hi from sunny Scotland 🤣 you should try Baxters Chicken Broth, its just like home made, I would have Baxters most times over Heinz apart from their tomato soup that I like.

Baxters makes good soups.  I love their cullen skink.  It's in their higher-priced line, so it's a treat.  They were recently on sale too.

Och aye ra noo laddie..... nae bother it's gotta be Baxter's fae up in there in Fochabers, Highland !!
Brilliant water quality, wonderful soil for growing peas and grazing for pork ham

Aye yer tasty buds are a tingling laddie, get stuck in an gie it laldy !! Spotty on 👍🍜

Waitrose have an own brand petit pois and bacon soup and it's really good. M&S do a minted pea soup - also very good and both less expensive than Heinz and Baxter's. Heinz has really gone down the tube over the years, unfortunately. Thanks for the video

Used to absolutely love campbells green pea soup.  They stopped making it but can get it in the USA I think.  Mum used to put dumplings in simmered 20 minutes. Was lovely
Now i do the same with the heinz pea and ham. Put half can of water in and dumplings . Still nice and warming

ty i like both

❤

I always used to prefer Baxters over Heinz but Aldi's own Bramwells brand soup (not just the pea and ham and lentil varieties) are all fantastic and about 60p a tin.

I tried Lidl's one a while back. It was not made with Marrowfat (Maro Fat) peas, but with sweet petits pois. YUK! But I was told that they have changed the recipe now.

pea and ham soup always reminds me of winter roast pork dinner left overs after me old dad has nicked all the crackling and left the gungy off cuts underneath to be put with split peas and pearl barley, mebbe carrots and onion and left to bubble for a couple of hours, served with ripped off chunks of crusty bread

Ooh one of my fave soups Gareth but I love the one my Mrs makes from scratch it’s delicious 😋 ❤

Down here in Virginia all you get is Heinz tomato. soup, used to get Leak & Potatoe in Wegman’s. When I worked in Manhattan Myers of Keswick carried both and Baxters Scotch Broth and Highland Game soup were delicious. Just ordered Baxters Cullen Skink on line very expensive but worth it.
