This whole bosnia adventure is probably one of the best so far shiey ever did. All of his adventures are great. But i enjoyed this one the most.

"I was miserable, barely sleep, but at least my legs rested".
What impress me is the positivity.

This seems like the most legal video in his "Illegal Freedom" series. ;-)

Fun fact: that river you wish was warmer, is actually the coldest one on earth.

17:57 fun fact: the river is called Neretva and it's actually the coldest river in the world, with a maximum 7°c in the warm, 40°c summers in B&H

@shiey just if you curious those water sources 02:19 and 19:32 you find are called "Hair česma". It's a tradition in muslim world that if possible after somebody dies he leaves some money before he dies to make one of those or his kids and family make one in his name so that even after that person is gone they can still get some good deeds in this world that will help them get in Dženet (heaven) in next world. ;) :)
And those rocks that look like shapes in 16:54 and 20:31 are called "Stećak" they are national heritage and even on UNESCO list. There are over 70.000 of them spred across Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and  Montenegro, with most of them being in Bosnia. They are from middle ages and are tombstones. That was a tradition back in Bosnian banat and kingdom. They were made from 12 to 15 century.

I love how this went from train surfing to bike riding

Fun Fact: Those natural wells he was drinking water from are actually man made, they are called 'Hajr Cesma' or 'Prize/Benefit Wells'. People in Bosnia usually make them while they're alive so travelers like Shieley can make a use of them and then the person who built it also has benefit of the good deed when they're dead  😊

Shiey virtually did a Tour de France mountain stage in the snow, on poor, inconsistent surfaces,  with literally no sleep and food all whilst carrying a backpack up & over those climbs. That’s pretty impressive riding!

Tell me you’re tired without telling me: “I forgot the name of the town already, but that’s the damn town”

Fun fact: The "rocks" you were resting on  at 16:45 are called stećak, those are medieval gravestones. You can find them around the whole country...

I watched your entire trip through Bosnia, and it's amazing how many times you stumbled upon "Hajr Česma" running water fountains. These are basically fountains built in memoriam to a deceased person, usually built by the family or the community, and the main intent of these is to help weary travelers on their journeys. It's an old tradition stemming from Islamic faith in the region. Great to see that they are actually saving people and travelers even in 21st century!

the way he's giving food to that "mice" , really cute tho, wholesome

"I would scream to assert my dominance, but hollywood taught me that causes avalanches" LMAO

He has petted a animal in all 4 of the parts I love that

16:47 these stones he's sitting on are called "Stećak" and they're at least 600 years old, you can see the medieval decorations

Man... I don't even know. All I know is that I'm comfy but miserable. Commuting the same route everyday, studying to become a replaceable cog in the machine. Going the paved and pre- planned route, motivated by material wealth. Dude's living his own adventure while most of us are living a life we don't even like... impressing man keep going shiey !
I just want to thank you for all the quality content you've put out. I'm just a helpless kid right now and won't able to do this for a while but you've inspired me to one day train surf, climb tall things and go to abandoned places and do the things you do.
One day years might pass to this comment but I swear I would have done all this by then.
I'll be free like you shiey, one day...

even with 1 million subscribers this man is still so underrated

Feels like Christmas everytime Shiey is posting.

As a person stuck in a wheelchair, i really thank you for doing these videos. I'm living my half-life through your adventures.
