For me, I don't even need to be watching this movie while listening.  I've seen this masterpiece over 100 times.

I've watched this film so many times that i can just listen to the commentary and visualize the movie in my head.

This episode is a soundtrack for me while I work

I love Nick Helm. He's just like a fan boy of great action and horror movies.
What's the betting the next film is robocop or the thing?

The guy who plays Pancho  was actually a Vietnam Vet called Richard Chaves. His arguably most-well known role was Col Ironhorse in the War Of The Worlds TV Series.

Director John McTiernan repeated that foreign language melding into English conceit from "The Hunt For Red October" to even better effect in "The Thirteenth Warrior" - tracking in montage Antonio Bandares' Arabic character Ibn's gradual comprehension of Old Norse in the first reel while traveling with the band of 12 other Vikings.

Later director Brian Singer did a variation on that technique in his WWII Hitler assassination plot movie "Valkyrie" staring Tom Cruise to get out of German and into English within the opening credits.

Based on what Stan Winston said in the making of Predator, James Cameron’s input was “I always wanted to see something with Mandibles,” not dreadlocks.

This movie came out the year I was born and is my favorite film of all time.  The soundtrack is iconic.

I always liked in the 13th Warrior when  Banderas started to pick up the viking language and then it translated into english, good movie too!

Holy shit my favorite movie ever! Thank god

Masterpiece movie
Still amazing and beautiful.

Please do a new HIGHLANDER commentary Oliver and a commentary using the new 4K scan of BATMAN.

Commentary on the greatest film ever made, yes please.
I've seen this film so many times, I can recite every piece of dialogue spoken and the VHS tape broke, do to the amount of times I've seen it. Biggest fan ever has nothing on me

Love these commentaries, guys. Well done!

Fun fact, in the commentary they explain the reason they had that actor playing the Poncho character on board in the movie was largely because of his experience in Vietnam.

Nick Helm is a legend!

Oliver this was fantastic and Nick was incredibly funny, I really hope you do more commentaries with him!

I’m sure I read somewhere that Van Damme had spoken to someone and said he’d had enough of the heat and was going to quit. The person he spoke to said if you quit you’ll never get a job again so you need to get fired. So that’s why he did what he did. He got sacked which was seen as a better option than quitting. I also believe he was upset because he was under the impression he’d been seen in the film and wasn’t really aware that he’d be running around in a suit.

25:02 he’s also in Predator 2 as a different character-The Scorpion.

Hey Oliver. Any chance you'll be doing a review of the movie 'Heat' in the future?
