There was a guy pitching a genetic test kit for cats to get better medical information and the bald guy said "I can just buy another cat. This is worthless" paraphrasing

the part of their downfall was when they didn't put actual sharks as the investors

yo hot take, they should make the show to where after they make the deal, they follow that company for like a month over 7 episodes and it shows the growth so it’s actually legit

my uncle was on shark tank, if you don’t believe me his name is scott trujillo he had a copy and paste keyboard company. the set was very rough, you can’t see it but there’s a spot on the carpet where they can only stand on, they aren’t given water or anything and the sharks can pause producing at anytime for breaks or bathroom breaks and he had to just stand there. the show is real weird because they offered him deals before he even went onto the show which he declined but then they had different people which didn’t offer him any deals. Robert then offered to buy the company off of him for about 300k which he tried to do but ended up not doing.

I shit you not, my mom hired a mover a few years ago, and this fucking behemoth hopped out of the truck, causing the ground itself to shake, and came inside. This dude carried a couch on EACH shoulder. Bro had the whole house packed up in like an hour.

Not even tech based. New shark tank is literally just ads. You are correct. 90% of items are already good items, well marketed, and they just want more money. They are looking to get a boost for their company, but its not a big break. They already made the product, and already have the business. There's no more risk. Its just people trading a portion of their company for some money upfront.

2:56 Japanese Sylvester Stallone

I remember seeing an episode as a kid where they literally tried to get the sharks to fund like some crazy expensive equipment to mine underwater gold or some bs lol

20:49 i think he would convince them he would pay for their house bill but in exchange they had to put his name on the house and then he would just sell the property
