If your parents' or mothers' reaction to you setting a boundary ever makes you feel like YOU did something wrong, try this trick: imagine that it is YOUR child that set the boundary with you in the same way. How would you react? If YOU would react with love and kindness and empathy, that right there should tell you that you didn't do anything wrong. It has been working well for me since I learned it.

3:33 something similar almost happened to my mom. She married my stepdad later in life so they planned a trip to Epcot. A couple days before… his sister called asking if she could go because she “never got to enjoy her childhood.” My mom lost her shit. I remember her yelling “my mother is taking over the wedding and now your sister wants to take over the honeymoon!!” Stepdad quickly squashed it but sister-in-law never quite forgave my mom. 🙄

21:01 Omg ,I literally watched a video over little girl who got brain infection and lost half of her brain because of kiss on the mouth(the person had herpes if I remember correctly).The girl would never walk,talk and all that because of one idiot. Ik that this is the worst scenario but if there is even a chance to happen I’d rather insult both families to the 9th knee than let any of my kids suffer.
