Honestly, I’m so impressed that a visitor can come to PNG and explore parts of our country that even many locals have overlooked. Your journey is a great reminder for us that there is so much more to discover in our own villages and provinces before we look for adventures overseas. We often get caught up in city life and lose touch with our heritage, so thank you, Luke, for traveling here and helping us appreciate our own roots and history.

Gotta love little remote villages, they are always welcoming and friendly. Would be a delight to live a few weeks with people like this!

I might be talking out of my a**, but there are a ton of places like that, where locals bring tourists to make some extra cash. I don't think this was the case here though, usually they'll give the tourist a huge list of things to buy for the seance, so that they can make even more money for their entire village. You always seem to find the nicest people on your adventures, and it looks like you've found the motherload this time! Everyone in that village was so welcoming, it even made me watching it feel so comfortable and at ease. It really says something about a person, when they unfortunately have to live in such poverty and their family suffers with hunger every day, yet they still keep smiling, and are just a pleasure to be around. I feel like that's the type of village that could really make out if someone like you started a gofundme page for them. Maybe you should visit them again, and make a good video on just their village, and how they live from day to day. You could even pick one of them out, a specific one that really shines on the camera, and you could follow them around for the entire day, so you can record what they do for work, and how they have fun when they're not working. Make a weekend of it, and stay with them, work, drink, and be merry with them, and show the world how they survive.

Going in to that cage takes a lot of courage. The views from the top of the mountain/jungle are incredible. The millions of hues of green. It’s breathtaking!
