The Comeback That Silenced The Room

He got interrupted mid-argument on a real debate stage in 2006 — and what he said back is the whole video.
Christopher Hitchens used six specific communication moves to win a room that started against him,
at Intelligence Squared U.S., October 16, 2006, arguing "Freedom of Expression Must Include the
License to Offend." The audience vote flipped from 177 to 201 in his favor by the end.
This one also goes deeper than the debate: his early life, the break with the political left over
Iraq, the fame that came from "God Is Not Great," his cancer diagnosis, and the reconciliation with
his brother Peter before his death in 2011.
Which one of these moves have you seen used on you? Tell me in the comments — I read every one.

If the commentary is what "silenced the room" then this is certainly a consequence of its intended audience leaving the room vacant.
At 5 min 25 seconds I am doing likewise.
Utter nonsense content.
He did not spend most of his time in arguments
That was actually a small percentage of his time
It was NEVER his priority in life
While he knew he must speak against religion
He also knew the futility of it
He did it for the paycheck and a wee bit to piss off his brother
Whom I would say has his head right up his intellectual ass
Christopher's ( very ironic name ) was actually focused on family
Destroying religion was secondary and it was an easy paycheck for him
His brother thought he should be more concerned with politics
And that has some merit
But religion has a very significant effect on politics
He wanted that eliminated first
I think he was correct
We MUST remove religion from affecting political decisions
