❤ Thank you guys for enjoying this playthrough. If your getting recommended this video & like it, I never fully completed this playthrough but I did start a new one with more advice and tips and those videos are also up and edited on my channel and are almost fully complete 👍🏼 Happy gaming!

Hi Meru! Watching this for the first time. I'm Luke, part of the Beamdog team. I was the project director on the Enhanced Editions for a year and also led the console ports. It's great to see folks still getting into the classic Infinity Engine games. Since you were curious about it, the AoN voices were part of the "Adventurers of Neverwinter" portrait and voice pack, which were portraits and voices of members of Beamdog staff! The voice you chose, Sarah, is the voice of Sarah Dawson, the PR lead at Beamdog when the pack was released 🙂

Looking forward to watching the whole thing!

Now only 90 parts left, lets fucking go.

a BG3 player that appreciates BG1?  WHAT????  You have my attention.

"Feel the BACKHAND of JUSTICE! ... Right, Boo?"

Definitely make more, it's fascinating to see someone coming at the original game blind (in 2024)

The newcomer realizing that a Wizard should not be in a battle up close brings me back. XD I played as a wizard 95% of my playthroughs. And as much as I wanted him to have a staff, it just wasn't worth it. Especially in the early game, where you barely have any spells to get through the day.

I am 55 and still play the heck out of bg 1 and 2. I enjoy watching folks play these great games for the first time. Thank you for sharing!

Xan is criminally underused in the Baldur's Gate series.  Hilarious character.

the castle in the middle is a vast library.  you're not so much a princess as a librarian.

"Have I trully been bested by a bunch of rats?"

This sounds like Fallout 1 beggining over and over again xD

I think the thing I appreciate about your videos is just the authenticity. I know that there is a level of wanting to grow, and you will, but never lose that. It's the best part of being here. I absolutely love it.

I. FEEL. Your. Pain.
The dice, they are cursed.

43:00 Sarevok's original voice actor is Kevin Michael Richardson, he is also the narrator of this game, and he voiced Cleveland Jr. from Family Guy, and more recently he voiced Kamek from the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Finding this year later. As an old BG fan, I love seeing someone who enjoyed BG3 try out the original games as well.

Your Gorion voice is really good.

Xan is my new spirit animal.

I have played BG1+2+all the extras since they appeared. Absolutely love them. Thanks for taking them up here 🙂

"Gorion, you just told me to pack my things and you already locked me out of the house"
"I figured you're 20 now and we're not related, so it's time you moved out. I paid some guys to fake my death so you didn't feel so bad"

I'm soooo excited to watch this playthrough. This game was my gateway into gaming as a little kid
