Welcome to the 3rd episode of Baldur's Gate 1! This is a long series I'm doing in which we try to get through as many old RPGS as we possibly can. We are playing through BG1 + BG2 + Fallout 2 + more on my twitch channel and me and my editor (the amazing lovely ‪@vedabechillin‬ ) am editing all the videos and releasing them here. You can also watch all the vods on youtube in past livestreams or join us live on Twitch.

I like how Imoen keeps calling the player a "queer fellow", and nobody ever felt insulted.

28:27 fun fact: the outcome of the cat quest depends on your reaction which is a combination of your charisma modifier and reputation score.
In your case she appeared sad.
If you had high reaction she'd actually be pleased and say that her daddy will raise the cat from the dead and that it's not the first time cat unalives itself this way.

If you have super low score, she accuses you of killing it lol

It's one of those mechanics that you could never know by yourself, which is why charisma appears completely useless.

Noober has a distant cousin called Neeber in Baldurs Gate 2. Neeber is in the city of Trademeet. But when Neeber is done with the "people are throwing rocks at me" and you are patient with him, he gives these "rocks" people are throwing at him. Which is a stack of Sling Ammo +2.

Gloves of dexterity and varscona. One of the two best items in the game.

Tbh, one could reasonably argue these are the two best items in the game period

Making lighting bounce of stuff was always fun. Sadly, I went with a buff-debuff party set up so most of my fights in BG1 were poisoning general areas and the killing off stragglers.

Meru is dreading doing the voice again

the first time I ever did this quest i couldn't find Dynaheir to save my life. Had to look it up online, (in the old gold box days, you called an 800 number)

Damn you left Neera's body there instead of reloading? Missed that.

Jaheira Jaheira Jaheira Jaheria was still in the baaaaaaaar

yes, Dorn can fall in that fight. I laughed the first time it happened

Ellesime, the woman the sculptor is pining over, appears briefly in BG2
