Christmas 1944, with Europe in the grip of a terrible winter, Hitler’s Panzers spearhead a blistering attack on the Allied frontline in the Ardennes, in what becomes known as The Battle of the Bulge. Their orders are to break through and re-capture the Port of Antwerp. In their way are the men of the US 101st Airborne tasked with defending Bastogne. Against all odds they hold the small town, long enough for Patton’s 3rd Army to lift the siege.
