As an argentinian i just want to say,  that war never resolve any problem. Rest in peace all the soldiers from my country and the uk.

this is one of the best war doco  series ever

Excellent documentary.  You can feel the emotions.

You know what amazes me is that pilot who knew his plane was damaged, how bad he didnt know. But he kept going even over the water

I was on the aircraft carrier USS Constellation CV-64 in 1982. We one of our Port of Call was Mombasa Africa in March. The Sheffield happened to be in port in Mombassa and met some British Sailors out in town and they brought onboard the Sheffield and gave us tour of her and gave us a inside look what a what sailor life was like on her. Little did we know on what would happen to her in the near future. She was a beautiful ship.

The effect those photos of the marines lying down had cannot be overstated. It made people’s blood boil.

Mike,
Many thanks for posting what looks to be an excellent documentary series on the Falklands War. Some great footage and very insightful interviews with key protagonists on both sides. Brings back many memories for me of this time and the tensions it brought.
Congratulations and many thanks for your own personal military service and your literary achievements-and not least for your marvellous YouTube channel!

Thanks for reposting this Falksland War of April 2, 1982. I had a poem to PM Margareth Thatcher after retaking Falklands from Argentina's invasion and win the world.

It's cool that it has interviews from actual trigger pullers from both sides.

Argentina started a fight. The British finished it.

watched a bit about the Falklands conflict never new anything of the gearbox coupling issue untill now. thanks for the upload.

What's ironic is that the Argentinians were using US and British equipment, including a Sheffield class frigate.

@10:20 Legend has it he didn't even break a sweat.

This war has fascinated me for years.   This is one of the best documentaries although I can’t imagine why not mention operation black buck?

Thanks for uploading these. Back when the History Channel was good!

Those of us who were notified prior to the general recall….we thought it was

Having to rely on a Navy that sailed 8,000 miles from Britain for all of their logistics needs, the ground forces were indeed fighting a tough war on the ground, with little reinforcements.

Love these war videos.

Andrew only agreed to go because he heard it was a minor operation

Thank you for uploading this, incredibly good content
