The Smokey the Bear sketch references an urban legend about a stoned babysitter putting a baby in the oven thinking it was a turkey. Also, the real origin story of Smokey is that some park rangers found a bear cub who was orphaned in a forest fire and noticed he had burn marks on his paws, and named him Smokey because of that.

Fun fact: in Jonestown it was actually Flavor-aid. A less popular competing brand.
