I'm guessing the one Lavish Meal at the start was the airline meal he was served before his spaceship exploded and ejected him onto the island like episode 1 from Lost

Blight Society is ironically a very fitting adversary for this 1 seed challenge.

This is just The martian. Man living stranded on just potatoes.

2:25 Potatoes do in fact grow from seeds. They are very similar to tomatoes, but unlike tomatoes the fruit of the potato is poisonous because of high quantities of solanine, growing them from the tubbers themselves is just easier for cloning and selecting desirable traits.
Fun fact : you can graft a tomato plant onto a potato one and you will get a plant that grows Potatoes in the ground and tomatoes above it

Just had knee surgery and currently experiencing the "Mind shattering pain" moodlet in real life. Thank you for the new video, it's helping me take my mind off it.

Genuinely surprised you didn't get food poisoning eating all of that raw food.

@Van4eus 2 months ago (edited)

Sir, I MUST ask why do you never cook your raw food into meals at the start of the game? 10 units of food is half a bar but a meal is a full bar. It gives you more food per food!

Believe it or not, potatoes do go to seed! They grow a berry that can be harvested for their seeds, called True Potato Seeds (TPS). its just not nearly as reliable as growing them from the tuber.

32:20 When you swore off eating human meat ever again and the gods literally drop a person made of bacon in your island. The final temptation of Wheatley.

Potatoes in Rimworld have low fertility sensitivity, which means they grow relatively ok in poor soil, but also means that high fertility soil or hydroponics won't do as much. If its your only option then sure its a good idea. But generally you want to grow rice in hydroponics basins (unless rapid growth-harvest times are really eating into colony productivity)

20:00 - Jade Walls only cost 5 jade and give a staggering 10 beauty. They're pretty great if you want some amazing rooms! (Bedroom, Recreation, Dining, etc...) before you can start pumping out statues.

Dood... you're like Matt Damon in The Martian. Potatoes, desert, and a dream!!

NGL I was hoping he was going to bring back the "HOO HA!" chant when doing good things.

I myself am a farmer and even at home, I garden. The only reason why I play Rimworld is for gardening. Same with Zomboid. I'm thankful people share this hobby and affinity.

@Gungho73 2 months ago

I like when you do challenges in this Project Zomboid and Kenshi. I like watching people play this even though I don't like playing it. It's odd. But it keeps ambiguousamphibians house from foreclosure so I'm sure the devs knew what they were doing :)
