Gale of Darkness and Colosseum were awesome!

Another awesome video, Marcello! Pokemon is certainly very unique amongst Nintendo's franchises, in that it tends to experiment quite a bit with each installment on every console, and the 2000's-era games were no exception. The only one of these games I've ever played is Pokemon Channel, and aside from the Pokemon Mini being emulated perfectly, the Pichu Bros. anime episode featured in the game is essentially a full episode of the Pokemon anime that's exclusive to this game. It's also where the Meowth's Party tech demo from Spaceworld 2000 ended up being used, so that's nice as well! Overall, this is a very insightful look into the franchise's foray into the 6th-generation and just in time for the series' 30th anniversary!

pokémon colosseum soundtrack slander will not be tolerated! 🤣 some bops in that game imo, or maybe that’s just my nostalgia talking…

I remember playing Colosseum and not getting far as a kid, i played and beat it about a year ago and I thought it was a solid game. I can understand your gripes and not getting into it after a few hours, the amount of time a battle takes is longer than a mainline game and the fact there is NO TURN OFF battle animations really makes this game an investment lol.

As for XD I think i owned it but never played it as gamecube games were going out of style in 06/07 and moved on to wii as a dumb kid...oh well lol. Excellent video as always!

Can't wait to dive into this video. Pokemon games used to be can't miss experiences. Love seeing those crispy clean N64 Pokemon games in your collection. Pokemon Channel is one I have never played LOL. This seems very bizarre and I hate to say it... but almost pointless? That is cool that it has all the mini games but other than that... there doesn't seem to be any gameplay. I still need to get it into my collection but man... I don't really want it haha. Pokemon Colosseum is one I have a lot of time into as a kid. I remember boring a GameCube from a friend and playing this and Gale of Darkness. Haha I remember it was wild being able to steal the Pokemon, Oh I mean snag them. The battle animations here are way better than what they have now. Good call on waiting on the Pokemon intros for battles, I forgot about that. I really don't know what the Pokemon Box is. I know you joke around a lot with it but I know like three people that have it so I don't understand what it is. Ahhhh I get it now. "Box" is literally the storage of the your Pokemon. It's the ultimate storage! Kinda cool you can take screenshots. Wild that someone turned the Resident Evil storage into a game on the eShop haha. Not gonna lie, I didn't remember that Gale of Darkness was a sequel. The main character looks like he belongs in Digimon. Yeah, Pokemon today does lack an edge. I miss it. Great episode, GCG. Loved going down memory lane with the Pokemon franchise!

I loved your video! I still don’t entirely agree with your assertions on Pokémon box, but I will agree it’s absolutely not a game lol. It’s definitely software. I personally love love love coliseum, but xd is still amazing. I don’t know why I don’t hold it as high. It’s the better game haha. Anyway what an amazing video. I watched it yesterday but kinda forgot to comment lol

Love these games

I bet that being able to play Ruby and Saphire in Pokémon Box was awesome back in the day. Today it's just not worth it with the Gameboy Player being able to play all GBA titles and now being thousands of dollars cheaper.
