Why Keith Wood Rated a 5'10" Centre Above Jonah Lomu — He faced Jonah Lomu, Martin Johnson, and Bakkies Botha, but Ireland's greatest hooker picked a Welsh centre as the hardest-hitting player of his career. Discover the story behind Keith Wood's ranking of rugby's 5 most destructive legends.

Across three World Cups, two British & Irish Lions tours, and 58 caps for Ireland, 2001 World Player of the Year Keith Wood experienced every level of physical contact the sport could throw at him. But when he revealed his list of the five toughest opponents he ever faced, the result shocked the rugby world.

While most expected the top spot to go to giant forwards like Bakkies Botha, Martin Johnson, John Eales, or the unstoppable All Black Jonah Lomu, Wood put a 5'10" centre—Scott Gibbs—at number one.

In this documentary breakdown, we analyze all five distinct weapons:
• The Quiet Control of Wallaby Captain John Eales
• The Fearless Confrontation of Springbok Enforcer Bakkies Botha
• The Relentless 80-Minute Pressure of Martin Johnson
• The Broken Arithmetic of Jonah Lomu’s Speed and Power
• The Pure Destruction of Scott Gibbs: The smallest man who hit the hardest
