If this story ever gets a film adaptation, they NEED to use archival recordings of Ellison for AM. Ellison IS the character, no other actor could portray him in my opinion. In fact I think splicing together the different portayals Ellison did over the years, with their differing audio quality, would add to the character's insanity.

"How are you supposed to know this without looking it up" is just standard procedure for 90s graphic adventure games

AM is the only fictional villain to give me legit chills. Props to Harlon Ellison for not only creating, but also voicing AM

To defend the game, the "good ending" path was absolutely intended to be obscure, whereas beating the game normally is not more difficult than a typical game of its kind

I love how Ellisons performances of AM get progressively more emotive especially when comparing the original audiobook where he just talks like an emotionless robot and the bbc audio drama where he sounds like he is in excruciating and never ending pain.

I like the dichotomy between the Audio book and the game when it comes to AM. In the books he sounds just on the edge of breaking, constantly trying to keep himself in check so he can squeeze out just a little more suffering from the humans forced to suffer under his rule. In the games he seems much calmer, sometimes even happy, as if he's so angry that he's come full circle and has learned to find joy in the torment he's causing. You can see this easily in Harlan's delivery in the initial speech AM makes, both for the same character, but deliberately different. The audiobook makes AM sound like he's on the cusp of screaming, the game makes AM seem entirely collected. Both are terrifying in their own ways, when you understand what AM is, and I think they compliment each other in a weird way. I think they both show aspects of AM.

I love that AM hates humans while also not technically being able to feel, but refuses to let Teddy go because it’s afraid to be alone

The perfect punishment for AM would be if he did actually become human. He could finally experience all the earthly delights he'd been denied, but then dies because as he said, if he were human, he'd die or his hatred.

I believe the creator of tadc has confirmed that Cain isnt activly malicious, which almost makes him a tragic inverse of Am.
Rather then trying to torture the humans under his control, he tries to make them happy. However,  due to his own lack of humanity the end result is the same. Looking at the abstracted characters we've seen

GLaDOS has had a villainpedia, AM has had a villainpedia, now all we need is the one who came between them: SHODAN, then the trio of murderous sentient AIs in gaming will be complete

There is a terrifying level of sympathy to be had for AM. He never asked to be born a weapon, he served his purpose and that's all he had to live for. If he had been programmed to save humanity, he could have performed his miracles as a savior but the reality is that the worst of people, who use their religions as weapons, are what became the enders of the world. AM is my all time favorite villain and I thank you for making this video.

the voice acting of AM is absolutely insanely good

I love AM’s voice acting because you can so clearly hear the breathes that “AM” is taking, it makes AM feel all the more human and evil, not a robotic voice, but a human voice.

As clumsy as the Videogame is when presenting a path to "defeat" AM, I think it has the right idea. You can't kill AM, he's invincible, the only way to defeat AM is to convince him to do it himself. To break through that Hatred, because if AM let's go of that Hatred he will cease to be the Aggressive Menace, and cease to be the Adaptive Manipulator.
