Its worth noting that all of the columns at Illinois' Memorial Stadium are inscribed with the names of students and faculty that were killed during WW1. That's why its Memorial Stadium
Growing up in Lincoln, little elementary school me didn't realize and appreciate those field trips to the football stadium would give me an experience not many others get. Tbh, this town/state is SOOOO obsessed with the Huskers that it is almost overwhelming. We got a small taste having a successful basketball team this year, and of course the jokes of Nebraska being a volleyball school exist for a reason. But I can't imagine what this city would be like if football was relevant again.
Idk if this counts but, kinnick should get a bonus point for being next to the childrenâs hospital so we can do the best tradition in college. The wave to the kids after the first quarter.
Memorial Stadium, Illinois, is a memorial to Illinois alumni who lost their lives in the great war. Their names are all there. This, to me, is what makes this Stadium special and should never. be forgotten. The U of Washington is absolutely beautiful and the stadium and game day scene and incredible fight song ("Bow Down") are all second to none.
Graduated from U. of Washington 40 years ago and was a season ticket holder for 35 years. The great thing about the UW stadium is the different ways to experience game day. Some years, we would meet at a nearby sports bar when it opened at 9 am to get the day started, then some games we would park at a restaurant that would charter a large boat to tour about 30 minutes through various chanels, locks, lakes, etc to dock right next to stadium and walk in, other years, we would tailgate in the various lots. Just so many great ways to experience game day. Oh, the views can't be beat.
As a Nebraska alum, I passed by the stadium essentially every day. Every time I do, I'm still as amazed by the architecture as I was when I first came upon it. Game days were an absolute blast, especially with the Michigan game in 2021 and the Colorado game in 2024, the latter of which was the closest I came to becoming deaf. While many schools have a distinct football culture, something about the history at Nebraska makes that football culture more special.
Considering how awesome it is to be a Husker fan, thank you for getting it right!! I enjoyed this video. I don't think I have seen anyone rank the BIG 18 stadiums.
Gopher season ticket holder. Love the stadium, love the game day experience... Great time. Agree with Nebraska at number 1. Fantastic tailgating, incredible game day.
IU fan whoâs been to a huge chunk of these. My favorite is Kinnick by some margin. Autzen was pretty sweet and I think Ohio Stadium gets an unfair rap when it comes to atmosphere but the amenities are among the worst Iâve ever seen. Waited half a quarter in the bathroom line.
Number one on the list and you still havenât came to a game there. Thatâs how you know it made an impression on you. Hope you come to one this year!!!
Growing up near Madison, I am truly blessed that camp Randall was my local CFB stadium, they play volleyball games in the field house as well but the stadium is incredible
I went to the Iowa vs Oregon game this season (not because you were going, my dad bought tickets before I even knew about your account) and this guy was so drunk that he was petting my dad like an animal
The areas and tailgates around Nebraskaâs stadium are bar none the best Iâve been to. Game days in Lincoln are a must for anyone even if you are not a football fan
I've Been To Every College Football Stadium. I Rank Them All (BIG TEN)
