The Enterprise D got a great return appearance on the final season of Picard. It was awesome to see it in action again.

Between the Breen, the Dominion and the Borg, (not to mention the tenuous on again, off again alliance with the Klingon Empire), it makes perfect sense that Starfleet would be making plans for tougher ships. Whether or not they were built would be determined by how far along they were when a current threat was abated. Since we know Federation economics is not commercially driven, a ship that was even 25% completed may be held in reserve “just in case” or to be repurposed later.

As a 70s kid growing up all through the genre, I was always partial to the Miranda class. The compact "tucked" design with torpedo/phaser arch just made it look "mean" and battle ready. No "dad bod belly" hanging under the saucer. Designs with extended nacelles on pylon provided too much vulnerability to structural weak spots under attack.

It feels like the Constitution was used the same way in the Klingon War as the Sovereign was in the Dominion War. There weren't a lot of them so they were Hero units used only in greatest need and given missions of great importance.

Again, I hold that instead of subsuming the Titan legacy, they should have built a new ship to be the Enterprise G.

Would you be willing to do a video on whatever happened with Admiral Pressman, the Pegasus, and the Federation phasing device?

@BlueCollar80 1 year ago

The OG Constitution class is still timelessly beautiful

If the Galaxy X Dreadnought also has saucer separation, does the phaser cannon stay attached to the front of the stardrive, or underside of the saucer?

I always thought the last episode of star trek was titled Must come to an end. And the second to the last episode was named all good things. Which would make more sense but whatever. It conveys the meaning but it doesn't makes sense to have the penultimate episode named All good things as well, even as a two parter. Would make more sense for one to be called all good things and the last be Must come to an end.

Achilles looked a lot like a Battle Star

Question. With the Dominion War causing personnel shortages, especially amongst medical personnel, why didn't Star Fleet press every possible copy of every generation of EMH into service at safer facilities where they and their holo-emitters could be well maintained, thus freeing up solid medical personnel to rotate back and forth to and from the front lines? Surely, the Federation could have developed, and manufactured more of these holograms to some of the strain off of their flesh and blood man power instead of relegating them to mining, as we saw in Voyager and DS9 episode featuring, the Creator of the EMH. Which I might add, Robert Picardo did a magnificent job, playing both the various EMH MK1s, and also Dr. Zimmerman, in much the same was that Brent Spiner did playing Lore, and Dr. Sunge. I probably butchered all those names, but it literally 4am when I'm watching this, and the thought just happened to cross my mind.
