I think we're all just happy that "Closer" wasn't the first song you listened to, since it needs to be listened to with some context (middle song of a concept album).

WELCOME to the never disappointing world of Trent Reznor and NIN.

Ironically I’m still alive because of NIN

Nine Inch Nails has a lot of variety.  Each album has its own personality and sound.  This song is from the album With Teeth, which happens to be the most accessible Nine Inch Nails album.

Thank you so much for this reaction. Not enough people react to this song

Trent can really find some tasty sounds and moods!  "All the love in the world" "I'm afraid of Americans" with Bowie

This song is anthem for every one who is doing monotonous job in his life.

Do you read the lyrics as you listen?  Nine inch nails lyrics are just as important if not more than the actual music

Yeah this is one of most accessible NIN tracks to get into and a great song also. The whole With Teeth album is more of a standard rock album with some industrial elements here and there so you don't hear many heavy or distorted tracks which you may find in their earlier albums. One great thing about NIN is that they're constantly evolving and every album seems to capture something new and different. I'd recommend songs like Piggy, The Day the World Went Away or The Great Below for next ones but you can't go wrong with any NIN tracks. Thx for the reaction!

Great reaction! NIN is really interesting and one of my favorite musical groups. If you enjoyed that one, try “only” or “the frail” next

Great reaction!!!  More NIN please

The Line Begins to Blur is great song from the same album that is a little on the heavier side, but it also has a gorgeous chorus and outro section that contrasts the heavy and chaotic verse parts of the song. Other NIN songs to react to: The Perfect Drug, Happiness in Slavery (arguably their heaviest song), This Isn't The Place, Echoplex, The Great Below.

Oh, Nine Inch Nails could be very hardcore, maybe even heavier than the mentioned metallica. But if you want to listen something really unexpected, try "While i'm Still Here". That's a cool song!

The Day the Whole World Went Away (Silent)
