I was in Japan late 2024 for the first time soloing as well. Kyshu was my favorite area of Japan during my stay, so much so that I looped back at the end of my 2 month stay. Your amazingly shot/edited video really brought me back and reminded me so much of my own experience. Thank you.

At 1.15.35 you got a short video of a cat. I got photos of that exact same cat having a snooze on the bench in the peace park! I just sat with him for a while while enjoying the quiet park, while little birds squawked at him.

man, what. You just came up in my recommended and the quality of this is insane. Now I've got a huge backlog of yours to go through! :D I took the ferry from kumamoto to shimabara then the train to nagasaki in 2025. What a wonderful experience, it was so relaxing. I also love that the inside of the ferry up the top looked like it was designed by grandmas, it felt so homely. Then all the snow capped mountains in shimabara and the single car train... Just amazing.

I was a bit repelled at first to watch your video, which came up in my algorithm looking for Kyushu travel tips, since it is so long, but I am so glad I did. Everything about it is amazing! It is so well shot and edited, the locations you point out seem great and you do it in such a real and sympathetic way. I want to go check out your travel itinerary immediatly. I also really like, that you give information about all the costs as well as other itinerary options.
For me this was the first video that I watched from you, but it will most certainly not be the last. Thank you so much for all the effort and time you put in to create this.

Nagasaki is my favorite.. I was there with the mayor of our small Colorado city years ago.. at a reception that the mayor of Nagasaki hosted.. I mentioned that I liked his dove necktie.. he took it off and gifted it to me.. i had a small silver dove lapel pin that i then gifted to his lovely wife. I was sad to learn that the mayor was later shot and killed by a disgruntled city worker. The art, architecture,and culture of Nagasaki has stayed with me over the years.. I miss it and the friends I made.. nice video! Frank

Great video, thank you! 🇯🇵 We’ll be in Japan at the beginning of October this year and are planning a 5–6 week trip. We’ll be traveling with our one-year-old child for the first time.

We’ve already visited Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Ishigaki, and now we’d love to discover the “real Japan”. We’re especially interested in Kyushu and Shikoku.

How much time would you recommend spending in Kyushu, and which places or experiences should we definitely not miss? Thanks for your tips! 😊

I so agree with you on the beautiful and calm nature of Nagasaki.. I ran all along the waterfront.. I remember running through a tiny lane and stopping to play with a kitty sitting in front of a gate and garden. I was only there for 4 days.. the other days were in Hiroshima, Fukoka, and Osaka.. I loved Nagasaki the most.. and really enjoyed the Chinese influence in the cuisine.. I miss Nagasaki! Thank you for sharing this! Frank
