I will also try unique local specialties like Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki and orange-flavored ramen. Whether you are interested in history or just want to enjoy a peaceful morning in a stunning garden like Shukkei-en, Hiroshima has it all.

Hello JH! I randomly came across this video. I am originally from Hiroshima, but now I live in Osaka. It's my first time watching your videos and this is by far the best vlog I've ever watched about my home city. My grandfather was a child during when the bomb hit, luckily back then he was living in a small village further south so he survived. Otherwise I wouldn't be here today. He moved away later but my parents moved back to Hiroshima and that's where I was born. The a-bomb history might be why most people visit Hiroshima, and it's very important, but I also wish people can see the city for what it is today. It's not crazy busy like Osaka or Tokyo. It's peaceful, beautiful, the people are friendly. Maybe there's not too many job opportunities compared to the larger cities so young generation move away, including myself, but I am proud to be from Hiroshima. I can't wait to see the rest of your trip in the area. All the best! Plus, I am subscribed too now!

I've been waiting for this video! (I remember you posted on your ig stories before) I love Hiroshima! There's also an entire building filled okonomiyaki restaurants. Just like you, I enjoy it more than the Osaka type. When I went to Miyajima, I took the cable car and even from the upper station it was an exhausting hike to the summit. I don't know how you did it from sea level. Hope you read the comments, but I must say it again, you are my favorite YouTuber! Your videos are so peaceful and cinematic.

Great video. Really envy that you could be on the island so early in the morning. I will be travelling to Hiroshima with family in Dec 26 and will not be there nearly as early as you did.

@25:30 been to War Museum in Nagasaki. It's hearbreaking to see. Agree 😢 it never get easier looking at war damage. Past mistakes that cannot be erased. Lost of innocent lives on all affected, in Japan and other places...bad decisions made in the past.. Let's learn from history, make peace not war. Forgive but don't forget the lessons from the past. This world is broken and very chaotic at the moment, but it is the only place we call home. Can't move to the Moon. Thank you for this quiet and comforting video. Watching you from Singapore
