ALSO I want to give you some game changing advice for your next playthrough. Get the bottle at the flower festival from Jeff and get the wine cellar event with Karen and then you can just stand in their basement and use your tools, keep drinking wine to negate the energy spent and you'll build your alcohol tolerance to beat everyone at the New Years event, which increases their affection towards you!

36:14 I just choked on my coffee lol

I really love your content about harvest moon/story of season. Pls dont ever stop

I got this game for my 12th birthday after begging my parents for months because I had played the SNES one so much. HM64 was the first game I ever pulled an all nighter for, I just couldn't stop playing.

Almost an hour of cozy Harvest Moon content? Yay

I started playing this game before I could read.

I've been waiting for this. 🎉

I got this game for my 6th or 7th Christmas. This was my favorite game of all time forever. It’s such a classic and new Harvest Moons/Story of Seasons are all also great but haven’t lived up to the nostalgia for me.

But I’m so spoiled with inventory in newer games I can’t go back.

I got a copy of this game for $40 online, practically brand new and it was authentic, I have checked haha. I think this is easily my favorite Harvest Moon, even with all the issues. I am glad to see that you ended up liking it quite a bit. I for one like the shorter days, once you get a good rhythm going it feels like you can accomplish a lot in the little time given. Popuri was also my most recent wife, she's easily the best in the game.

As for what the other girls do if you marry them? (Well, outside shipping eggs.)

Elli/Ann - They will feed your chickens sometimes.
Maria - She'll deweed your entire farm.
Karen - She'll only ship eggs. But she'll comment that she broke some of them sometimes.

I convinced my mom to buy me this game as a kid because I thought it was a game involving "Ness" from the recently released first Smash Bros game. Goes without saying, the cover of the book was very much judged. I only got one or two new games a year from my mom/grandma though. So since I owned it, I played it. And so did my cousins. We all ended up figuring this game out and enjoying it. This game led to me enjoying similar titles all the way up to Stardew. I am grateful to it for that.

I also revisited the game in my early adulthood years in the heyday of the internet and was blown away by the gamefaqs community around the game. To the point that everyone came together to crowd fund a complete and full leatherbound guide compiled by another user in the faqs using all the info contributed. A book I cherish to this day.

I have to admit that I have problems following changing lore about Mineral Town villagers in each entry - who is whose child, their rival, etc. I grew up with FoMT and it gets confusing hah

This was a fun and informative review. Thank you and good work. So... Do you have any plans to review "tale of two towns"?

The music in this game is so nice. I may be in the minority but I wish HM/SoS games continued to re-use these characters. After SNES/64/BtN/FoMT/MM I really felt attached to them. It feels so strange just having different characters in every new installment.

I’d so love a review of a trio of towns and tale of two towns I have trio of towns but I always feel like I must be missing something with these old games and I wanna buy tale of two towns but I know nothing about it other then it’s a story of seasons game so I want it 😂
