I watched this game as a 20 year old Marine in Okinawa. What a great taste of home watching the Vikings go on to have nearly as great a season that year as
the Minnesota Twins.

Anthony Carter had hall of Fame talent.

My favorite Vikings team, even though they could find spectacular ways of blowing the lead.  Anthony Carter was awesome

For my money, the best era of football...the 80s! Just brutality

Mike Patrick’s voice brings me back to my childhood

This was my first Vikings game I went to and my first time in the Metrodome. Nose bleed seats but it was still a lot of fun.

During the game I remember there were three or four teenaged boys having some fun. One of them was dressed up like Jim McMahon with a McMahon jersey, the sunglasses and head band. He might have been handcuffed too. He had a collar around is neck with a leash and the others were leading him around. They got a lot of cheers as they walked around the seats. The things teenaged boys can come up with for laughs... It made my night.

This was the game that I felt the bears were getting back on track and the road to the Super bowl was inevitable.  I even had my 'Road to San Diego" Bears sweatshirt.

The very best athletes end up on defense. NFL defensive play is the most difficult in ALL of sports, in my opinion. Beautiful share, thanks!

People don't realize that Anthony Carter tore up the old USFL when he played for the Oakland Invaders  and the L.A. Express.
