i demand a standalone version of the full movie so i can send it to my friends and family without any context

Ok but I’m lowkey into Alien Cake’s aesthetic and character design. Y’all were robbed of that award.

can’t believe your brother is already an Award-Winning Screenwriter at age 10, his resume is gonna be FIRE

Hearing them awfully fail at remembering chekhovs gun had me SCREAMING. Especially when Chad Chad called it foreshadowing 😭

pinely’s 10 year old brother has a promising future in film writing

We should replace all the ai writing programs with your 10 year old brother

the story pinely’s brother came up with is kinda real. the main character’s struggle only being able to achieve his goal of selling the yummiest cakes by committing atrocious acts against another sentient species… truly sublime. a reference to speciesism which humans perpetuate all too often, as well as a lesson against having your alien cake and eating it too.

For a ten year old, that story is actually really well done. I hope he puts that talent to use in the future

Could you please post the complete director's cut of Alien Cake as its own video? I can hardly wait to see it as a part of the Spike and Mike's Animation Festival.

This could unironically be an Adult Swim short, your little brother is a genius, and your art and both your voice acting is brilliant.

9 minutes in yelling “checkov’s gun!! it’s checkov’s gun!!” at my screen

You might not see this, but I'd like to thank you for bringing attention to this. I'm a recent film school grad. Almost all of us at my school have wasted money at these sketchy film festivals at some point. Years ago I even got an "honorable mention" at one of the festivals you would later win, lol. After submitting to a few, I realized what was going on and stopped. My peers look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I'm never going to submit to these no-name festivals again. It's sort of an unspoken BS thing you're expected to do when you're starting out, as it's "just part of the game" and to rack up as many laurels as you can. It's sort of inescapable because starting out, you probably won't get into the festivals that matter; so "something" is better than nothing, right? That's where these scam artists make their money, by preying on unexperienced hungry dreamers. Thank you, Pinely, for shedding light onto this as it's a huge gripe of mine that isn't spoken about enough.

I don't think pinley realizes how good his character designs and art are

This video is actually so sweet and adorable. As an educator i will never get tired of seeing kids writing projects.

Your brother is actually pretty good at tieing his loose ends together for a elementary school writing level! Also all writers hate titling and describing their work! This is a fact of life

Brave of Pinely to admit he's never turned into a donut

such a groundbreaking story, definitely a big step forward for alien rights

Its presented in a joking way, but at the end of the day it's also a passion project written by a young boy then painstakingly animated on procreate of all things by his older brother, and brought to life with him and chad chad into something that's silly but in the end very sweet. This will become a wholesome memory, especially for the younger brother, which immediately gives it infinitely more integrity than any of the many cash grabs professional studios can put out. I genuinely felt more emotions watching this than i did through the entire lion king live action remake lol

Pinely are you sure your brother isn’t a genius scriptwriter? Maybe have him apply to fancy movie schools

Pinely, I will gladly pay five entire dollars for an exclusive interview about your masterpiece of a movie.
