How does one, as an adult, acquire  these "friends"?

Skyrim: Hard
Requirement - 30+ dollars and Decent PC

DND: Impossible
Requirements - Friends

Player:Can I get laid?!
Another player: I Burn the tavern

Rolls D100
Gets 6
nice

Once you become a dungeon master you never get to be a player again.

I've been a DM for 32 years.
I have been a player in maybe 3 groups.
Most of which didn't last 3 months because everyone wants me to be a DM

I think my favorite moment of dnd is when I rolled a zero on stealth. The dm just made fun of me and said, “you yell so loud, everyone in the Kingdom can hear you, and the person you were trying to whisper to had their ears ringing for the next hour.”

Been playing since 1979.  Met my wife through DnD. I've gotten jobs through DnD. It kind of has it's own subculture.

"I attack them, using my...additional notes" will never not get a chuckle out of me.

Oooo look at me, I'm Marcus, I'm super creative and imaginative. I have friends, and when they're not around, I can go outside and make them. Ooooo!!!

"If you're too poor to afford dice just use your iphone"

wut

hearing the projared holly conrad bit ... BIG OOF

Dad: it’s really nerdy
Me: My first combat EVER was against SENTIENT S H I R T S

Oke so d&d is when friends ge- oh, friends ._. quest failed

"With ProJared, and Holly Conrad."
O O F

“You can watch Dice, Camera, Action! With ProJared and Holly Conrad”

That comment doesn’t age well...

I feel personally attacked by the " But Marcus I'm poor... I wanna try it for FREE!" lmao

asked my friend group if they played d&d or wanted to.

“no im not gay”

where can i get new friends?

B-b-b-b-b-b-but MARCUS!

I already love d&d!!!!!!!!

so funny story
- i started watching Harmon Quest because of this video (before this video i never wouldve considered D&D)
- a week later, some old friends decided they wanted something to do together and offered to play D&D with me (we found an experienced DM online)
- i said yes because theres no way they could have known I was considering playing D&D already, so that shit for me was a SIGN
- all 4 of us started a campaign together, pirate themed btw, and we all liked it enough to play for about 5 more sessions before one member decided she didnt like the combat phase
- then another one dropped out cause he was only there for her tbh lol
- the last member and myself decided it wasnt right to continue with just us 2 and we stopped
- but i had been BITTEN by the D&D bug and i NEEDED to play
- so i hit up my 3 cousins and they invited 3 other friends and now i have been a DM for a year for these 6 people and their one in game pet Gorilla and i am LOVING every second of it
Thank you so much for making this video, it changed my life and i will be a Dungeon Master until i die
