Had to mute the audio at 5:14 because the owner of the song playing in the background of that clip decided the entire video belongs to them and wouldn’t take no for an answer. YouTube’s copyright system is a joke.

Still confused why a creator whose content was "how my indian mom used to get me ready for school," which was kinda targeted at kids school age, got to take on an adult late-night show. That's like two very different levels.

I read a comment on a video about her that said that "Lilly Singh is the personification of when corporations make their logos rainbow colored for pride month"

19:46 what’s funny is that years ago I remember Lilly talking about the fact that she’s a virgin and and is comfortable with it, idk if she still holds those values but if so this seems sort of hypocritical

I really like how instead of just roasting the show he added constructive criticism on how to make it better

Making content for children isn't a bad thing. Kids need entertainment too!! She just has to accept that that's where her talents lay.

You can tell she genuinely thinks she's hilarious

Everybody just forgot about Cynthia Garrett, who hosted "Later" in the exact same time slot in the early 2000s. Lily was not the first woman of color to host a network late night show. Cynthia was. But Lily kept saying she was. And for some reason, NBC did too.

“Part 3: the third part” was funnier than every clip of Lily’s show I’ve ever had the displeasure of seeing

"🤪" is just her entire punchline, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

"He has no idea I dressed up as him"

*Wears same color shirt

12:17 this joke could've been at least half good if she went the self deprecating twist route and said something like she had to use a friend's phone or something, but it was just bragging

Why does every youtuber need to become a comedian? She could easily do a game show.

my grandma used to be conan's gardener when I was very young and my grandma says he's the nicest most humble person and it makes me so happy to see him remain successful and genuinely entertaining

shes like a walking buzzfeed article

honestly it’s not even entirely about the bad jokes. it’s about how over the top her reactions are. i honestly feel like that, while these jokes are still bad, could be pulled off if her reaction was just a bit more natural

I'm not an angry virgin, I'm just a disappointed virgin.

the irony is that that “ok bloomer” joke is true boomer humor. like that would absolutely be a facebook post i scroll past.

her “i’m not a straight white man” repetitive jokes is especially frustrating to other women of color esp. those trying to make it in the entertainment industry bc it makes us all look like just a big joke, she really had the potential to do something monumental and instead did this

4:38 Yes, budget. Because they couldn't afford to pay 100 people to attend, let alone pretend it's funny for the camera.
