It feels super weird that they're playing with addiction like this.
Imagine if it was like a drug addiction and they try and fix it by lining a pavement with needles or something. It's just weird.

My favorite one is where she’s addicted to eating cornstarch and they make her walk through oobleck, and say thats inside of you

puts tray of rocks out
rock eater guy:im sorry thats not looking very good to me right now

The fact that these people are addiction experts, or at least claim to be, is despicable. You NEVER offer someone who is 4 days into recovery their addiction. I have a family member who is 3 months sober from alcohol and we still have dry parties whenever we get together. She needs love, support, and help, not to be offered a glass of wine and say no.

Edit: Thanks for the likes! An update on my aunt, she’s still doing great! Not everyday is easy, but she’s stayed consistent throughout. We’re all so proud of her.

Even funnier: The people at TLC have a bunch of clips of the person feeding their addiction, which like, isn't helping. Holy shit, just imagine being on the show and them just being like: "Okay, we're going to help you get over this addiction, but first we need like 20 minutes of you eating raw meat while a disembodied voice tells the viewers how disgusting you are."

I like to imagine this woman was addicted to cocaine, she's trying to be clean then someone comes up with a plate filled with big lines on a mirror.

That syrup was 100% fake but, as someone who makes maple syrup, it still hurt me to even think of that much being wasted

11:05 this really seems like ARFID. Potatoes are often common safe foods since it has a consistent texture, generally bland, and satiating. There have been days where I only eat mashed potatoes and eating anything else makes me feel sick or throw up.

what's even worse, more than the fact that they were offering her something that she was TRYING to get over, but the fact that she developed the addiction due to emotional distress, and instead of getting her genuine help and therapy, they just basically insulted her for an entire video

i- how did they lay popsicles sticks down for hours and still think it was a good idea

Imagine being at someone’s 1 year sobriety party and then a waiter starts walking round passing out shots and offers one to the alcoholic

I know it's just blue gatorade, but I like, physically cringed when I saw drew drinking that 'mouthwash'

They’re literally just emotionally abusing the ice cream woman.
Imagine going to a fucking AA meeting and they go “lol u want some whiskey?”

JJ Virgin is seconds from waterboarding someone with chocolate milk to cure their addiction

The maple syrup parts pisses ME off tbh. Maple syrup is expensive, that’s a huge waste

“But I’m supposed to believe they are different?!?”

hmmm sounds familiar

Imagine people treating someone with an alcohol addiction this way. It's literally considered horribly rude to offer someone you know is an addict a drink.

Throwing those in her face at her reception, where she was supposed to be celebrating herself and be proud of her progress, is genuinely emotionally abusive.

the funniest/saddest part of drew's mouthwash addict is that that's literally a thing that very severe alcoholics will do - drink mouthwash because of the alcohol content. drew accidentally made an alcoholic 💀💀💀
