"My lord, I want to ask about WiFi connection...
"Speak not of it again!"

I find it funny how Jonathan Harker (Thomas' Bram Stoker counterpart) took almost a month to realize that Dracula is a vampire while Thomas meets Orlok for the first time and thought "Oh yeah, this fucker is a demon."

You have no idea how good this sounded in cinema, Orloks voice literally was echoing with the surround sound, so it sounded like he was all around you

I like how Orlok tries to present a facade of normalcy, but at the same time he appears so detached from humanity that he doesn't seem to realise Thomas will find it terrifying if his client casually teleports around the room.

Airbnb review;
The place was cold and creepy. The host was weird. The food was okay. 1 star.

Every time I'm up late and looking at the clock I think to myself 'The midnight hourrrh has paaased'

What's creepy is that he sounds old, on the verge of death, yet has no assistant and is walking fine by himself. His voice sounds old at first but is strong when angry or impatient.

“It is their filthy ritual”

While fixing his coat😂 gets me every time

Man travelled through the carpathian mountains, gypsy villages, a castle on top of another mountain … and he says “you are late” 😂

Hoult should’ve been nominated for a Supporting Oscar for this performance. That closeup onto his terrified face is peak cinema.

I like the detail of how when he's inhaling, you can hear the wind outside howling as if he's breathing in all the possible air he can

"YOOORE looord. I will be addressed as the honor of my blood demaaaands it"

at last a modern Vampire movie where the vampire is an out and out monster, barely clinging to the façade of normalcy for the sake of company. so many Dracula's go romantic or heroic or tragic, never truly just some hungry thing looking for food and that is what Dracula, something old and hungry. Orlok here is that, he is the monster we hid from around the fire whilst it watched in the shadows and its a thing of beauty

Thank God for email and Docusign

The scariest part of the movie for me I love that they found unique ways to hide Orlok apparence using angles and the shadows to hide his true form and only giving us a general idea of what he might look like. This is how you truly scare people make them scared of what they can’t see make them scared of what’s to come. This movie gives you a sense of dread and fear like movies haven’t in decades. It makes you generally afraid of what you don’t see what might be there even know what’s in there it’s still not completely seen.

When I saw the movie in the theater, I thought "holy crap Orlok was so terrifying."

"Speak not of it again" the count reassured calmly.
hoping to redirect and relieve the salaryman's apparent unease at the ghastly ritual.
Perhaps he was imagining it, but the man still seemed ill at ease.  It had of course been some time since the count's last conversation.

I was so impressed how Bill Skarsgard created Orlok's voice. It couldn't have sounded better.
