The Blood of Dawnwalker just hit 1 MILLION copies sold - and Rebel Wolves is already building what's next.

The studio confirmed they're actively developing the next chapter of the Dawnwalker saga and hiring a Lead Writer to expand it into a full franchise. Each game will tell a standalone story in a different historical era and continent, but all connected by one overarching narrative centered on Coen - who we now know lives for CENTURIES into the present day.

In this video I break down what Rebel Wolves actually confirmed, what "saga" really means (not just a direct sequel), how Coen ties every future game together, and where The Blood of Dawnwalker 2 could go next.

What do you guys think - do you want the next Dawnwalker game to jump centuries forward with Coen, or stay close to Vale Sangora?

Coen existing in multiple eras is one of the coolest appeals of playing as a immortal character like a vampire. Like you can flash forward to the 15th century and fight the literal Dracula, the Victorian era and maybe reveal Jack the Ripper was a vampire? Who knows

I wish sequel would be around 13-18th century. then 3rd would be a follow-up going to the modern world chasing the main villain.

Saint Mihai told us to seek and trust The Augers, that's interesting.

One thing that I'm hoping happens, is that we're able to still hear the voices of Brencis and the Boyars in future installments speaking to us in our mind.

It would be such a great touch, and would make antagonists stick around, even future ones.

I hope we are getting a Vampire "assassin's creed" franchise where they go to different timelines and locations like you said in the video. Where we are playing these games for years to come!

Let’s not forget that our main girl probably canonically drinks the font of life and it is described to give “strength and immortality” so I’m gonna bet she isn’t gonna go away. Even if part of me kinda thinks it would be bitter sweet. I’m pretty sure she’ll be back.

This has become one of my favorite games of all time

The Renaissance
The Hundred Years War
Victorian Age/Wild West
Golden Age of Piracy
Napoleonic Wars
WW1
WW2
60s/70s/80s (Mainly because of the music and vibes.)

There's so many times and places they could set possible sequels.

The trickiest part is creating smooth transitions between eras, and I’m curious to see how they pull that off. Given the game's ending, it would make little sense to center the story on rescuing the sister, since the action will shift to a different era. That leaves two possibilities: either they release DLC covering the rescue and the story of the Vrakhir world—ending with Cohen going to work for the Council—or the next installment takes place several years after the first game concluded. It would feel out of place for Cohen to be rescuing his sister 200 or 300 years later, so I’m interested to see how they handle this issue.

I think that there are many inspirations from Call of Cthulhu and espacially Vampire the Masquerade. Imo Augurs may be sort of Camarilla from VTM they seem to fill the similar niche

I won't lie, using the vampire traversal abilities in modern day cities would be amazing.

What I will find interesteimg is how well Coen will have to adapt.

@sanguinelynx 3 weeks ago

I would like a Victorian timeline before modern, which goes well with historical fiction already.

@RahatKhan-he5qp 12 days ago

I would like 80s Coen with top hat guns silver bullets cross, kind of like lord of the mysteries

@arcjaytechgaming 11 days ago

What “if” the mysterious dark clouded guy is Coen’s brother Alin but Coen doesn’t know it yet. The DEVs can go with that way too. Either one of those, I would be fine with.

I think we are going to far into the future already maybe put us maybe 100 yrs ahead and vampires are known for what they are and ppl have started to develop more ways to combat them
