"take the ring that it's rightly yours"
If the ring was rightly his, he would not need to steal it. The writers are really not debunking the stereotypes on this one.

When bad people try to make a hero, they write a villain who's successful. And they write villains as heroes who always lose.

I don't blame Hal. Hal knew that John was aware of who the Manhunter was, and had feelings for it. Hal wasn't even going to kill the manhunter, just bring it in to the guardians.

I can't fathom the degree of jealousy and wrath consuming the people who made this show.

Their heroes are demonic. Their villains are angelic.
They rage against God for the crime of being.

You just have to wonder if the writer sat and thought ....... "what would a black man do here"

If I had a Nickel for every time a black writer made a show where the black main character's primary motivation is theft, I'd have enough Nickels to buy a sign and write SELF-REPORT on it.

John Stewart: Don’t turn me white.

Me: Wut?

So pet me get this straight, they said they wanted to kill a green lantern but they couldn't kill John, instead this week they decided to have a black man steal a gun, kill his girlfriend with said stolen gun, commit assault and battery and steal... We can't kill John but we can make him live up to all the negative stereotypes.

Then they were accidentally based showing him getting exactly what he wanted his entire life and then it feeling empty because he isn't worthy and stealing from your betters doesn't mean you've earned it.

At the risk of being lame, Disparu, I have to thank you so much for this recent stream of consistent videos. They've been getting me through a WHOOOOLE lot recently, and these reviews (specifically your review of The Runner, an all-time video based on pure hilarity alone) have kept my spirits up more than you know.

Keep fighting the good fight and continuing to rip these Hollywood freaks to oblivion!

Much love from Windsor, ON 🇨🇦✊🏽

"You'll never understand what she gave me!" sounds a lot like WandaVision's "They'll never know what you sacrificed for them."

"if you want to save lives, leave" is what everyone (writers of superhero movies) have been doing for SO LONG and it's TIRING. we need a superhero show where the hero shows up and it is a RELIEF to the law enforcement who are overwhelmed and out of their depth. Let the heroes be welcomed!

Why do I feel like in any other media. Hal would've lead the alien group away from the town, find the Manhunter and bring her back to the guardians. With far less collateral damage and casualties.

Anyone reading DC comics will tell you evil has been winning for about 15 years.

@Awstrev9595 2 weeks ago

I'm sorry, how did they make a show designed to assassinate Hal Jordan in every sense and he's still both the best part and an actual selfless hero?

@frea2191 2 weeks ago

DCs Ironheart is the best description for this show... the entitlement, idiocy and incomprehensible motivations of these characters are next level

Funny thing about Green Lantern rings. You can't just take them off of the Lantern they belong to by force. & even if you could, the ring bearer can just have it come back to them because they can control it from a distance. The only ways a Green Lantern ring can be removed are if the bearer gives it up willingly themselves, dies, or has it removed from them by the Guardians of Oa. All this episode is proving once again is that the writers don't know dick about the lore.

Hollywood really believes it's this easy to break into a gun store don't they

Somehow the writers think that humanizing superheroes meant making them unlikeable and morally bankrupt, and all facade goodness.

so basically Homelander is their ideal superhero
