The fact that they actually believe that John is a hero is insane to me.

The amount of contempt for Hal Jordan is outstanding. They've bashed this man this entire series, and now they contemplated flushing his ashes down a toilet.

People who think John is the hero of this show also believe Lindsay C. Should be free.

Hal is being punished for being a white male American hero. This show is like watching COPS but the criminals are the main focus and they spend the whole show just talking shit on the cops who have come to arrest them.

just like the Falcon show, it's written by people who are genuinely evil so the antagonists are good people while the protagonists are evil

So glad John's dad isn't a green Lantern. He get's scared of a bubble and spends the rest of his day's finding an excuse to shoot something.

When Lanterns ends, the writers are going to need a mystery box to hide in from what viewers remained watching. They'll be demanding the time they wasted on this racist, nonsensical and utterly pointless series back, and all those behind the series will have are slurs, insults and the threat of a second series.

To be fair the so called writers have completely destroyed the characters of both Hal and john, this is like some kind of insane elseworlds story.

Lanterns: "We hate you!"

Disparu: 🤣🤣🤣

"Scam. Murder. Steal." John's guiding lights in life.

Green Lantern ought to stand for judging courage, character, and choices on an individual basis. If the show insists on teaching viewers to sort people morally by their race or sex, then it is betraying that ideal.

What if John's dad shot Hal in the face and was like you stole my destiny now you want to steal my wife. Since they have both been talking for a while and he's jealous. Something James Gunn is used too.

The writers do not get the distinction between; doing nothing and everyone dies or doing something and a few people died.

Okay, black man rural Nebraska.

Didn't know Nebraska had fences around it keeping him in. Gosh. Such shock, much sad.

Hal Jordan went to stop an intergalactic war criminal—something that had gone rogue, wiped out entire species, and taken refuge in a small town. Then some of the Manhunter’s victims came back wanting revenge and threatened to blow up the entire town. Wanting to protect itself, the Manhunter started destroying the town with orbital death lasers, doing far more damage than the aliens who had threatened to blow it up. Then John stopped Hal from trying to stop the Manhunter, right before he went and shot her in the head. After that, everyone on planet Earth and beyond hated Hal—a person who had spent many years protecting the universe, ending wars, and helping wherever he could. He then spent ten years in jail in a town that hated him. He wanted to help anyone he could, but they spent the entire time hating him. All because he got rid of the alien that gave them free stuff.

Who wrote this?

John digs up a grave while preaching about Hal being buried in his suit out of military respect

The writers didn't intend this but that eulogy proves that hal is not only the best character in the show but a good man, and most importantly a hero.

That eulogy was the best part of the episode.

Judge: "For the crime of refusing the ultimatum of a murderous, genocidal android you are here by sentenced to 10 years in prison with no chance of parole!"
Hal: "Yes you honor, sorry your honor."

Batman: "I can't get the Joker a death sentence or have him sent to anything other then a looney bin but sure, let's keep HEROES in prison for saving civilians... And people wonder why I keep my identity secret."

It's quite remarkable how much the writers hate Hal Jordan AND John Stewart

John slept with the and sniped the Man Hunter holding the town hostage for years after using Hal as bait.
Hal did his absolute best to save people and extract villainy from this town.
“In brightest day, in blackest night, NO EVIL SHALL ESCAPE MY SIGHT! let those who worship evil’s might, beware my power, green lantern’s light!”
He CAN’T let evil and corruption slip, regardless of the cost.
This town was enslaved and held at satellite-point but because they weren’t actively being tortured, the writers think it’s fine. CRAZY.
