Women doing the 'oh she's good' dance after she tries to turn it back on him...only to get a full dose of Hannibal's dead eyed stare, and the reality of talking to a cannibal.

the exchange, the power plays, the mentoring mixed with his menace, all top tier.

Hopkins slurping was just a joke he thought would be edited out. But because that was Jodie Foster’s real reaction, they kept it.

Hannibal told her what perfume she wore but not today was a dig at her. The scent was in her clothes. That ties into him calling her poor later on. Someone that comes from money has their clothes cleaned and pressed before they wore them again. Genius!

Hannibal Lector was described as a good man trapped inside the mind of a psychopath.

"Getting out. Getting anywhere. Getting all the way to the F... B...I..."
So incredibly creepy.
So incredibly creepy.

Barney was one of the few Hannibal spared, because he was always respectful.

I work in a forensic psychiatric facility. This is the film that inspired me. I also worked in prisons. This is what it is like when you go to admin seg (the hole). They can be brutal. I am used to it now.

Everytime i see this scene Clarice aka Jodie Foster looks like she's Anthony Hopkin's daughter, those eyes...

It's difficult to get the most out of a scene when you can't shut your mouth for five minutes 😊

Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal creeped Jodie Foster so much that she only said a few words to him. She avoided him until she had to film and still he creeped her out.

7:02 That was improvised. Jodie's reaction was REAL.
