Welcome back to Van life in Gino, to our finally destination Lyme Regis.
The journey there was good, raining but we safely arrived at Hook Farm.
Luckily we were able to book in early so we could start exploring Lyme Regis straight away ☺️
The campsite was so pretty and the showers and facilities were great.
They have a different food trucks on site, when we stayed it was Curry night 👌
Off we went to find the bus stop (couple of min walk down the road) just down from the Talbot arms pub. We managed to get a cheeky drink in before the bus came. You can walk down the river into town which is about a 35/40 min walk. We chose the bus …
Once in Lyme Regis, which we have visited a good few years ago with our friends, but we really wanted to spend a good few hours exploring.
The weather was on our side (to start with) and we set of around the shops and of course sampling the local drinks😜
Sitting over looking the sea, we enjoyed our first ice cream of the whole holiday .. within seconds of finishing the ice cream the heavens opened. Check dive into a restaurant where we were lucky to get a seat, we had a cheeky drink (why not) the rain stopped and out popped the sun. ☀️
We found a shop that sold a selection of fish £10:50 for three pots, but it was worth it.
I went to the toilet, came out to mark shouting “Susie look who it is”?? Our friends who I’ve known for 30 years 😳 and they were staying on the same campsite.. small world..
We found the Micro brewery we visited all those years ago , which was fab.
Then we bumped back into our friends while waiting for the bus, but the very kind taxi man that came back for us took us back to Gino.
Here we ate a very delicious but huge curry, had a well needed shower, relaxed with a film and had a good nights sleep.
Next morning mark and packed away for the final time before heading home after being away for 9 nights and 9 and half days from Trevone to Lyme Regis. We didn’t want to go home (well we did miss our fur babies)
Next adventure is Busfest 2026 😜 our first ever festival.. Stay tuned as we took our fur babies.. will it be a success or not??
