I think part of the reason women aren’t as open as being down bad (or at least weren’t for a long time until recent years) is women are always taught to repress their sexuality, to be “polite” and “calm,” and that attraction is something we should be ashamed of. We are taught by society to never act on our feelings, to wait for a man to approach us first.
