The best part about Daniel... is that Thrasher is his ACTUAL surname. Metal as fuck.

My favorite video of his is "When you meet a jazz demon in medieval times".

24:28 That would explain the bleached hail today...

I want the igowalla song on my Spotify immediately.

Another hand has touched the beacon.

32:35 oh my god they turned the GoT theme song into one of those cheesy TV show from like the 70s or something when they discovered electronic sounds. I must have it.

I'm just reminded of Flash Gordon a bit, lol

33:06 somehow reminds me of the never ending story

i was watching mike shinoda of linkin park stream his music streams a while back. he created some banger songs on stream....any way.  he was shown that chord video. after he was messing with all those songs and started to sing frozens "let it go"...  it was the same. his mind was blown.  fun times.   and speaking of music have you seen the "gen alpha melody" video. music does music things and sound similar

24:18 it WAS raining today for me before I found this video but thanks for the warning 😂

39:08 Had to frame by frame, but we got flash banged by Makari's desktop I believe.

When you were talking about 80s music and showed that example it reminded me of the opening from one of my favourite games. It's from the 90s (can't remember if it was 1997 or slightly earlier), the name of the game is Valkyrie profile Lenneth(and it's sooo good), but it's so difficult to get the good ending in that game(wonder if anyone has gotten it without any guides?)

19:50 Literally how Salieri felt meet Mozart (allegedly)

14:15 my teacher and then in dci would use metronomes, LOUD metronomes, that drilled the tempo through your ears into your brain.
41:48 the use of the word in a sentence “I go all out”

4:48 I could not... I'd get punished so much harder for the mischievous grin I wouldn't be able to hide or stop... :) like a gremlin grin, that's  just how it is...

"taking a bath is optional" yes if the predator mistakes me for prey let him gag on my putrid essence, it'll back off and I shall have VICTORY!!! LMAO that's a sentence I never thought I'd say...

51:20 Now I could just look it up right here and now...

But I'm too lazy and that ruins the fun. Gl to whoever gets it

the macarena got me

"All realities, all dimensions are open to me!" is the last boss of karazhan Príncipe Malchezaar (or "Prince" if you're nasty)
Knew the quote before half the phrase left your lips bb grl

Les Paul guitars have small necks and frets, I can play it even with my tiny hands!
Try them, Makari

In the beginning you mentioned how most pop songs follow a similar structure, which is true and has spawned a ton jokes in the form of songs that feature several similar songs in one, but it's less about the beat or tempo, but rather a similar chord progression in a major key - even if the root of that key is different, you can still transpose that song up or down so that it sounds correct with the same exact chord progression as countless other songs.

16:12 That's called rushing, and speaking as someone who is primarily a drummer, everybody either rushes or drags, even if only a little bit. Personally, I tend to drag the beat slowly over time, and while it is near impossible for a human to keep it 100% even without a metronome, you can minimise it with practice. When practicing, play some of that time with a metronome or a basic drum loop on the background to help you stay in time. Not all the time though, that can lead you to grow dependent on metronome and there might be situations where you need to manage without it.

Music is one of those hobbies that gets more fun the more you learn, so I really hope you keep at it! I tend to say to people thinking of starting learning an instrument: "Learning any instrument starts boring snd frustrating. You need just keep repeating the boring, simple patterns over and over, even those feel really difficult and progress can sometimes seem like it's moving in tar. But if you stick through it, and get on a level where you can comfortably just jam with your instrument and it sounds pleasant, music is one of the most rewarding and fun skills you can have."
